  • i dont like the fact that the guy has a medal piece in the horses mouth.. thats just sad..

  • @TheJillyann its to keep the horse under controll so that he doesnt hurt himself its not as if the guy is full on yanking on it, he isnt even pulling it. Its just like a bit. these tools, when Used properly, are great tool just like crops longe whips and spurs.

  • This is actually a great treatment for horses that could be lame or injured or in conditioning to re-build strength without high impact that normal work would cause, and more resistance from the water to help rebuild muscles. Obviously the horse doesn't mind it or he wouldn't be so calm.

  • I hate watching horses being forced to walk in water

  • @TheTwoStupidPeople really? thats how indians used to train their horses, plus its a great workout and sacking out tool they cant see their footing so they learn to trust you and it cools them off as you ride/or watever

  • is this horse called daggers drawn

  • My TB would actually love this! He adore water! :L

  • Lol notice the water from the start is clear then after it turned yellloo

  • this is cool! i would love to excercise my horse like that! :)

  • thats one way to give them a bath lol. i do like this treatment. unless the owner misuses it.

  • thats very good 4 the horse also u can tak ur horse dwn to a river and stream and make them canter or trot threw it

  • Is he a thoroughbred?

  • @guineapigheaven122 The Chestnut definitely is, and the bay most likely is TB too

  • @MoNgOoSeSxiNxmYxbEd Thanks. Do you own or ride horses? I only ride.

  • @guineapigheaven122 No problem :) yes, I own a QHx pony, a QHx horse and a miniature. I also live in the Manawatu!

  • is this for physical therapy or training?

  • @themonstera Both. It helps rebuild muscles after the horse has been lame (say on a shoulder) and will keep sound horses much fitter. A swimming pool is better therapy for lower legs though.

  • @themonstera for therapy and training ^^

  • oh my gosh... this is a great idea!

  • Pretty horse.

  • I think that this system would fit well within an overall program that included a high speed treadmill and trackwork. I imagine that this machine could be operated without the water for walking only. not every horse requires loads of muscle to be stacked on.

Good machine to have. It must have one heck of a pump and filter.

  • well behaved horses. the water treadmill were I work, all the horses hate it and keep flipping out just hurting themselves more. pitty its only the good horses that go on it too

  • Man I would love to be that horse xD

  • I would hope it was warm water

  • on the second half it looks like he's rocking out to his fave jams cuz his heads bobbin

  • @Majition . You have absolutely no idea how effective this work is and the race winners that have won because of this kind of exercise. The horses love working on it and no its not because the owners are too lazy to get up so you need to do some further investigating before you comment on something that you know nothing about..

  • @Majition actualy its very common to do this with show horses. it builds up stamina if you dont live by the water to take youre horse for a swimlike i do . and it has to be easier on the horse than going to a pond having the mabe of stepping on a rock and getting a bruse on its hooves or stepping in a hole and breaking its leg

  • le pauvre sa doit etre dur pour lui !

  • I would have loved to do something like this with my horse, but her injury was on her hoof and repeated soakings probably wouldn't have been the best for it. That and we live in Bumfuck, Nowhere, where people can't be bothered to drag arenas more than once a year. Finding a good farrier is difficult enough, water treadmills are out of the question.

  • genius!!!

  • dont know if anyone has tried aqua aerobics? but the resistance when you walk through water is a way of helping build/improve muscle tone, without putting stress on the joints!

  • Super muscle build up :D

  • Just curious, what does the water do? Is it to help with arthuritis or something?

  • @supahsnuffy cold water therapy helps horses heal and build up muscles. I'm sure there are probably other uses for this also.

  • @supahsnuffy No it just helps to strengthen their legs too. Because the higher they raise the water, the harder it is for the horse to walk so he has to work harder. IT's good training.

  • Ah, thanks, I get it :D

  • It's better for your joints and as well as it helps build more muscle. In retirement homes they do water exercise to keep in shape because it's safer. For animals it dose the same thing if there recovering from an injury or surgery.

  • I don't know but I'll bet that it cools off the horse and reduces swelling. I am likely to be wrong, so you don't have to believe me!

  • so cool is he a race horse?

  • @wildhorsespirit14 if its to wet to ride then why get your horse wet?

  • @Horsebackrider8 he means like muddy or raining ridding in mud can be very dangerous because a horse can slip

  • omg i want this for my horse.. it be a great way for him to get some exercise if its to wet to ride..

  • they cost around 60,000 just for the water system, the water proof cage type thing is sold separately for about 70,000 so all together that whole thing costs about 1.3 mill :/ i wouldnt want to pay that much

  • i would love that with my barrel horse, i think he is getting arthritis

  • race horses??

  • i love it
