Scenes like this one made me feel like I bought not just another RE game. But a special one, cause it has this artistic scene none of the other games have. :)
I can't help but think that this WAS intended to be the original ending. However, problem here was that despite explaining how Krauser got his arm infected, it didn't explain why he turned bad in RE4. And seeing Krauser sad towards Manuela's death would have seemed out of character. So I speculate Capcom decided to create another ending and two scenarios for Krauser, so that audiences saw how mentally, he was turning to the dark side. But if you ask me, it was kinda unconvincing.

I really do think both he and Leon cared a lot about Manuela, it's just that Leon showed it more.

I don't think that was pixie dust... If she was now a fully infected veronica subject, and if she let out too much blood, she'd probably incinerate into glowing ashes like here... Poor Krauser, he doesn't seem to want to turn to the dark side now that he sees what happens to those who are cursed with a virus in them.... Beautiful music too, sad ending though...

well yeah but that ending does not go at all with the theme of RE , at least the original theme , biohazards , do exist (perhaps not like in the series , yes, but bioweaponery and bioengineering are real) n' when someone dies , even if they're infected , they dont just vanish into thin in air with pixie dust floating around and ppl (leon & karuser) just react like is an everyday occurance
he did not get fired remember in RE4 he said he faked his death in the hellicopter crash. Im guessing the hellicopter they are riding right now crashes a few minuites later and krauser goes his way while Leon saves manuella. Krauser turned bad because he wanted to regain his power by finding wesker, i guess the was evil all along.

The Heli crash was an excuse. Krauser was fired and joined Wesker's organisation (Remember Javier's gun? It got snake, same does Krauser's knife from organisation). After Leon brought Manuela back they offered safety for the girl if Leon joins Government. Krauser was fired cuz he was infected. And government told Leon Krauser died in crash.
From the other hand heli crash + Krauser's scar... still there is possibility other accident happened making him get scar. maybe heli crash was true, but it was AFTER Krauser was fired.
he got it injected with a giant spike by some monster I dun rememba name. He got hit with the spike to hand very deep, and the spike seemed to be infected with T-Veronica.
No, that spike is from Hilda (Manuela's mother) that was infected with the T-Virus, hence why she turned into a monster, unlike Manuela who was infected with T-Veronica.
i love how leon's just lookin so chill even as a girl evaporated into golden dust or something right in front of him.
