hey noodles, i think u should like, use armor and a weapon thats not above hr5 for this quest since alot of soloers get stuck here doing this quest. like using full rathalos and an anvil hammer which is below hr5

hey i have tried to fight lao twice i have to fight him on the 4* guild quests. I have an ancient blade with full ceantaur armor. I am HR2 and at the 5* village elder quests. Everytime try and fight it the fortress ends up dying or time runs out, Does anyone know what i should do because i cant kill it. Should i use a different weapon or armor? o and i also carry 2 LG barrel bomb + 5 bounce bomb + and 5 sm barrel bomb+. Any help on how to kill it would be greatly appreciated.

you need to improve you hammer from iron striker until you get onslaught hammer(to get the onslaught hammer you need anvil hammer so its ok) but you can google monster hunter wiki there is the hammer tree

anvil hammer will work grate and if you can upgrade it to war stamp and by the time you can make onslaught you can make the war bassher instead that is much stronger
