Since something thought to be a thing of the past like polio still affects people when larger countries could easily provide preventative care

Polio still occurs in China--which has the largest population of any country on Earth. Also in India--which has the second-largest population.

yes, she has had polio and one leg was thin and crippled, she walk with a brace or crutches or holding her knee by hand
and then she became paraplegic due to an accident
