1883 ~ Scriabin was 11 years old when he wrote this. What an extraordinary creative explosion he was... (his music went from good to great to extraordindary to....) This is a very interesting & mature piece. A+ Master Scriabin ;)
777cc777, Wow 11! It's hard to believe. Even harded to believe Scriabin composed the Etude Op.2 No.1 when he was 14. One would think you would to have have lived for many years suffering to compose such music.
Right ~ it could lead to some interesting questions about who/what we really are (and what possible 'previous time' factors enter into the constitution of our formative consciousnes) ;) By the way, interesting to know perhaps is that Scriabin used to sleep with Chopin's works (nocturnes maybe ~ would need to check) under his pillow every night.
Ever heard Julian Scriabin's Preludes? He died at just 14. He (Scri's son) also promised true greatness.. there are some recordings of these too. A+!
Very well played Nageeb. This is a very interesting Canon with it's syncopated melodic rhythms. I was just listening to Michael Ponti play the Canon this morning. Just put it on my list of Scriabin pieces to learn. Thanks for the post.
Have you heard/tried later Scriabin? Eg anything post Op 60? Also, 59Nr 1 is more than worth a mention. (Well of course, all Scri's music is "worth a mention") Best of luck with your learning
have you got a score from this? i wanna play it so long..thanks for reply.. its my favourite composer...i play him a lot of.

The thing so strange but beautiful is that these early pieces (canon, op2-1) are so sad...
Is it possible that a young boy aged 11-15 can feel this ? Create this ?

777cc777, Exactely! I heard that story also. I have heard Julian Scriabin's Preludes. A tragedy he died so young.

Me too, I must say!
You should listen to Gardizi's other Scriabin vid's. He also has some more great music of the early Scriabin to offer...:)
