The SAT is just a business. Collegeboard makes a TON of money on it. The worst is when you actually do really well on it and your parents remind you EVERYDAY that you would've gotten a perfect score if you started studying an additional day earlier or if you never went to your friend's house on that 12th friday from when you registered for it.

I am a senior. I have a 5.2 weighted GPA with only 1 AP class and I am taking 3.5 AP classes this year, getting A's in all of them. I took the SAT and got a 1680 on it, 500 Math, 560 Reading, 620 Writing. I took the online courses and some courses at my school and have been practicing on a daily basis and I think my score will only go up a couple of points and I need at least a 1300 (Math & Reading) to get into an Honors College.

The SAT is NOT a valid test and is just pure TORTURE!

My first practice (before class started) test I got in the 1700s

although i did it at like 6PM after a hard day of school

but after the class i took the SATs and got a 2180 (98th percentile) so i'd say it was worth it

I just graduated from High School on May 21st, I absolutely HATED-with a passion so very, VERY fierce- those tests...I took the PSAT in tenth and got a pretty good score...but then I took my ACT and SAT tests.

I've never had that bad of a headache in my entire life after taking the tests..it was horrible. I took multiple prep courses and still bombed some of the sections. I agree with babylikesumsuga09, forking child abuse..x.x

the sat is a very simple test. i was an australian student and tried your sat papers just after i finished my hsc in 06. the math section was very simple, along with the gn section. the writing section is subjective and needs some "practice" aka plagiarism.

no wonder harvard looks for extra curricular activities, unlike here where the admission score is only thing that counts. this is because most australian students play competitive sport and do charity anyway.
