  • I guess this cam sucks cause it's light bulb dependant. I have a webcam that works just fine with monitor light.

  • thank you so much

  • does this work on a mac and wot software does it need

  • I want manual focus ring.. how come none of these new web-cams don't come with it?

  • finally i see a brother doing a webcam review i needed this to see how i would look om camera and get a good view, but idk which camera to buy the lifecam or the logitec c510

  • @TheRocTV I have liked the lifecam so far now complaints. hopefully Ic an get my hands on the Lifecam studio at some point

  • ohh yeah and also my cpu has 2.4 GHz

    (windows 7,amd athlon 64x2,ATI 3450 and 2gb ram)

  • I want to get the camera but i dont know will my pc be ok here is my pc details

    AMD Athlon 64 X2

    Windows 7

    ATI 3450

    2GB RAM

  • this cam is compatible with the playstation 3?

  • its ot syncing with your mouth

  • Hey bwonedotcom, I got a microsoft HD webcam... but my computer is saying that my install disk isn't signed by microsoft. I have vista and I am pretty sure it is compatible with the camera... Is there any way I can work around this?

  • this one works on mac right cuz i just bought one on amazon lol

  • The CAM suck... I bought one and work for a few week then it just stop working. It just said, Camera not plug in. I even uninstall the program and install it back on. Its the same thing. When it work, it does have good quality video but over all the CAM suck cuz it just don't work. If you want a CAM that work better get the Logitech. Don't waste your money and then end up with frustration.

  • @JoshCX There was a recent firmware update. Try to do that and see what happens. If it doesn't work then you may just have a defective one and you can contact Microsoft most likely to get support.

  • @bwonedotcom where could I buy this?

  • @TheCyberboyy Head over to the link in the description and click on the big picture for where you can buy it.

  • @TheCyberboyy u buy it for 49 bucks on amazon.com like i did im still waiting for mine n the mail

  • @JoshCX ur pc sucks i bought this cam a few months ago and to this day jan 4th 2011 it still works SO U SUCKKKKKKKK

  • @JoshCX a driver update fixed that problem which was because of either conflicting software or to an improper installation procedure, even if you had bought another webcam it would likely experience similar failure. I have had both cameras and they both work perfectly fine, however i will say the microsoft cam has a centered widescreen lens and more accurate microphone...but really they both work the same and it would be better to just spend another 50 bucks on a decent 1080p

  • Looks like a pretty good camera! Great Review!

  • Some say they have had issues with system requirements at 720p @ 30fps. What are your specs? and what are you runnig it at? (720p @ 30fps, 15fps or 7fps) Thanks.

  • @Biostech2008 I have very high end spcs for my PC. Core i7 and 12GB of ram to just put out light specs. Most consumer based machines at least running a core 2 quad or one of the Core i series should get 720p fine.

  • does it work in windows movie maker

  • @tjdehaan39 The newer version of it. that is in Windows Live Essentials

  • This is the best webcam i've ever bought. Much better then the Logitech 9000 pro. I'm really excited with this lifecam cinema hd webcam. If your really want to buy a 720p hd webcam go for this one the lifecam cinema hd. Soon there will be an update of the live messenger software where u can get 720p 16:9 videochatting.

  • did u made ur video with this camera (hd) too?

  • i have a question even thow i have a web cam built into my mini laptop will i still be able to use one of those because the web cam on this sucks big time i cant even see my self

  • I would 5 star it but all i can do is thumb up it :)

  • how much was it

  • awesome

  • Hi, picture quality looks good. Can you plug an external mic into a PC and disable the mic on the Lifcam? Lot of chats say no. How best to burn output a a DVD? Can you make a demo of how the sound pickup on the builtin mic sounds when you walk around the room telling the distance from mic as you walk? Would be helpful, thx.

  • External mic support is dependent on this software you are using. I have used this with UStream and I can use my external mic without issue.

  • Thanks, I'll check it out.

  • Logitech PR9000 is better much better

  • i have been looking at getting this cam for a while now and this vid just gave me the go ahead, what a nice cam!!! thanks

  • Hi there,

Can you demo an outdoor image? Any ideas what size of file it writes at 720p eg 1 min video = Xmb?

    many thanks

    TP

  • At some point maybe when the weather is nicer I can do that but right now its not looking too good outside. I've found the size to vary based on what your recording. Some files Iv'e done maybe 2 minutes and its about 80MB or so but some other files with the same amount of time and maybe more action it it can be around 110 - 150mb. Just all depends. It won't give you the larger size files that true HD cameras give you.

  • @tomuk2007 Its still a highly compressed HD file it gives you.

  • Will this work with a Mac?

  • I doubt it sine there were no mac drivers in the packaging. You can try to go to the sit to see if the are there.

  • Yup. It works well on Snow Leopard (not sure about others), just plug it in and it works. You don't get all the features of the software that comes with it, it just runs as a generic web cam. The mic works fine, and the it still captures at 1280x700 when using a program like Quicktime. It works for Skype and iChat, but does not work in PhotoBooth. Depending on your computer, the fps will vary. I get about 20-25 fps on an iMac, and 15-20 on an old macBook, not the 30 advertised.

  • Noice review!

  • Looks super nice!

Need to pick one of these up for PIP in my screencasts

  • nice camera

  • This looks amazing as far as the quality and colours go, and the mic sounds clear also
