  • einer der schönsten jäger die je gebaut wurden :)

hab die leider gar ned gesehn wie ich in duxford war ... -.-

  • bitchin aircraft, looks like a cross between a bulldog, a shark, and a torpedo

  • Beautiful ! I love the fighters and bombers of WWII ! If I could, I would get some for me and fly them on my days off ...

  • Camera guy at 0:29 to 0:31. Blasted with prop wash....Ahhhhh.....

  • @3shacks1house

Yeah, from my experience prop wash gets a lot of painful dirt in your eyes. (Also makes you drop things while you're reaching to grab your hat.) I got hit with jet blast from a T-33 moving to the departure ramp once. No only windy but hot and windy!

  • if the diff is a 100kg then it would be similar but I suspect its more in the region of 500kg which would make a significant diff to a stock a8 maybe theres a company who can reverse engineer a 801 and armour im personally against new build war birds(unless retro engineered) I think they dilute the brand which makes me in the minority but that's my view can't wait for the allen a5 to fly though

  • well I respect your opinion but it want fly like a a8 its half a ton lighter its wing loading and cg is diff therefore it won't fly like a stock a8 its climb dive roll are all diff so clearly it won't fly like a a8 however I will concede its the nearest thing we have until allens a5 flys

  • @PETEEAT

It's worth pointing out that the area normally occupied by the upper cowling guns now contains the adjustable oil cooling system designed by FlugWerk for the replacement engine. Perhaps the weight of this system compared with guns and ammo make the cg differences negligible--and guns cannot be installed now. I also think I've read some comments from an owner saying weight was added to get the cg within spec.

  • It will fly like an A8, just lighter due to the lack of armament and armour. Much like other warbirds which dont have these items installed either, Aerodynamically it is a fw-190.

  • yes the a5 is my factor anton my dream is a fully restored d9 with a jumo engine with a high back spit 14 doing a fly over at a air show the 2 greatest prop birds of ww2 :)

  • @PETEEAT

I have my fingers crossed for the Vormezeele D-9, though it will probably be a long time before it's finished.

  • my point is that it won't fly like a a8 which is a shame however

it is nice to see the a8 shape in the air im far more intrested in the white foundations authentic 190 with bmw 801 which will be airborne soon

  • @PETEEAT

Indeed, White 1 is a very exciting project. It looks like White 1 may have final assembly by 2011 so I'm thinking Paul Allen's A-5 will be finished first. At least there's a BMW 801 running on the test stand for one of these aircraft now.

  • er hum.... im certainly not critacising flug werk s efforts but its not a fw190 it doesn't have armour or dummy guns which can be fabricated for weight and feel so it won't perform like a stock a8 which means buy definition its NOT a fw190 flug werk cold put in dummy guns aand armour

  • @PETEEAT

This is a new-build aircraft, with structural changes. I'm not familiar with German law, but FlugWerk may have been required to remove the mounting points for weapons to get airworthiness approval. In any case, yes, dummy gun muzzles could have been added for authenticity. Notice that the airworthy Me109s in Germany fly without weapons as well.

  • i love this plane :) @MrMeThanoliker FW dont means flugwerk. its Focke-Wulf ;)

  • @Horten229pilot

This Focke Wulf is a replica. It´s re-manufactured by the German company "Flugwerk".

Therefore the maker of this video was right with writing Flugwerk FW 190.

Don´t tell me that you´ve never heard about those new Focke Wulf planes from Flugwerk.

What you see in this video isn´t a vintage plane.

    It´s a new build one.

  • i dont see the point it wont handle like a 190 it's a ton lighter then a stock a8 plus it has no gun's

what flugwerk should have done is put the standard weight armour, guns, ammo drums in ,the ash engine is acceptable because of its weight and power and then we could REALLY see how the 190 truly handle instead of this imposter

  • @PETEEAT

Most of the warbirds do not have any armour, guns, ammo. This FW is not an imposter same as any of the Spits, P 51, B 25 or other. War is over, mate ;-))

  • lol im not talking bullets and cannon just a rough weight and look of the original's thatsall ,the point im making is that the jobs been half done which in it's self is a new build aircraft and it wont fly like the original thats just my opinion

  • its not an "imposter"

  • @PETEEAT Good luck finding MG 151/20E cannons to put in it. It's not easy to manufacture new builds of vintage weapons and aircraft. We don't have factories tooled to produce these things anymore, and whatever we get will be close to the original, but it will never be exactly the same as a vintage aircraft. Also, there ARE NO existing flyable vintage Fw-190 Antons. These Flugwerk 190s are a miracle, because they are all we have. Without them, we'd have no FW-190s at airshows to look at and enjoy

  • You need to learn how to point a camera

  • Mann sieht die Mühle klasse aus! Hoffentlich bringen die in Duxford ihre eigene 190 noch in die Luft...

    VG

  • Warst ein bischen zu nah dran :-)

  • Es flogen regelrecht die Fetzen
