Dang, you guys have good tastes, went to all the nice places with good foods. The Khmer traditional foods look really delicate and well prepared. 5 bucks for crocodile meat and other is pretty good deal. A regular dish in Phnom Penh restaurants is about 3-4 dollars.
The vietnamese foods look good too. The Vietnamese guy wanted to say, "bored," not boring but... oh well you guys still understood him. He doesn't need to change.
How did you find all these places? tour books or tour guides?
As far as how we found things, it was a mix. We had a tour book but we mostly just used it for advice on daily affairs...The "boring" guy was on a 2 day bus tour we just happened to stumble into that was super cheap and got us from cambodia to vietnam. I think it was $40 for all the transport, food, 2 nights in nice hotels, boat rides, and other tourist stuff.
