I think Syd is wonderfully articulate here and really does a very nice job at being calm despite an incredibly rude interviewer. He handles it quite well and his soft spokenness is most evident where he lets the ends of his sentences just fade off. What a beautiful soul.

Actually some of the most interesting interviews of bands emerging from the 60s happened just like this - a crusty, opinionated, and generally unsympathetic interviewer on one side vs the members of an evolving rock band on the other. I would rather watch these older encounters than now when interviewers always seem to be gushing fans throwing out unimaginative , "safe", hackneyed questions (e.g. "so how is the tour going ?"). Why bother with an interview if its all just so much small talk ?
