I have the same kit, mine sound like complete shit though, I really need some tips from any of you that might know how I could make my toms sound more deep and my crash to have a more powerful sound, as of now everything sounds like complete garbage.

I've learned something from my vast experience. Don't cover anything meant for 10000$ in cymbals to play with a something so lacking cymbal wise. With that set you can comfortably do most jazz.

How are the Toms and Bass on the imperealstar? Flimsy?... Tone?... Tough?... hows the hardware... good set overall?

@LJLiveLV With great skins, u can have a pretty good song. You got to put a couple of pillow in the bass otherwise there a kind of reverberation that is not cool to hear.

The hardware is pretty though and solid it's will never break.

the only way this kit is good for heavy stuff is if u have the right kind of cymbals and you put remo rings on the toms. Honestly, ive recorded my imperialstar in my friends studio, then he played his tama superstar, and honestly u couldnt tell a difference. you just have to know how to tune drums properly and know which kind of head combinations work.

@scarsontable yeah, you can find them at just about any place that sells drum accessories, theyre called RemO's , theyre also relatively unexpensive. they get rid of nasty overtones.

Very polyvalent, you can play hard rock ,jazz, whatever u want, it's very used by the rehearsals studio because of that, and the fact that it's hard as roc Lol

The tama imperial star is a little bigger than the rockstar but i've never played on it.

I have this kit, just get some new heads ( I Have Evans Hydraulics) and dude, you will see such a big diference. I still have those Meinl HCS but I'm planning to get some better Cymbals. Peace!

@guigui69290 Cool beans dude! Get some zildjian's so you can save your hearing....trust me. I like the way the bright sabiens sound but they can kill your hearing sooner then a bullet to the brain.(I know you're not using sabien's btw)

@hi1698 Hi , The tama imperial star is the best beginner drum! When you have it, you only have to change the skins during the follwing years!

You can find it in a drum shop like me ! It cost ( in france) 990€ with all you can see on the video!

But what are you looking for exactely? you are a beginer?My Kit cost near 950€ for all and u have the ride but without the foot u must add 40€ for the foot of the ride and u have absolutely all :P i have bought a Double kick for 100€ but it was a friend =D
