  • 0:35 - 1:15 makes me cry

  • This made me cry.

  • Bellatrix echoes saying "I dis-liked this music!!"

  • Youtube reaction selections:

    Funny

    Incredible

    Classic

    Cute

    What?

    Ouch

    Wtf is epic?!

  • Been listening to all of these. I wish it weren't ending... I wish I was getting excited for ANOTHER Potter movie, not the LAST Potter movie.

It's so sad... Time to immerse myself in Potter for 8 days.

  • 1:58 - 2:53 is just so amazing - violin builds the character of the music.

  • i love how this is reprised after dumbledoredies.

  • 00:35 to 1:10 is so...so...beautiful,that can not find words to describe..just breath taking part..really beautiful

  • i would of liked this opening more if it used hegwig theme more, about 5 seconds. why are you all stuck up Hopper with useing your own stuff.

  • The soundtrack for this film was nothing less than fking amazing!...All I can say...

  • i Know the choir did really well this music is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    go john williams

  • @TheChandlermann it wasnt john williams

  • @possem33 Oh was is Nicholas Hooper???

  • @TheChandlermann BUM BUM BA BUM

  • @TheChandlermann aright, im lost now. lets just forget each other ever existed

  • The opening for this movie is so sad. :\

The music, the look on Harry's face.

  • This in my opinion was the best opening out of all the HP films so far, I loved it, it was exactly like the book, dumbledore beside him and the countless reporters around them all now convinced of voldemort's return, and harry still shocked by the very recent loss of his godfather. The score is perfect!!!

  • @vim92 100% agree, one of the great openings of all, music, direction and cinematography wise.

  • when i waz watching the beginning in the movie theatre i felt sick! o.O it felt like everything waz moving around me. still a gr8 opening though <3

  • This soundtrack is amazing. It accentuates the dark mood of the movie and implies the inevitable tragedy that will take place. You can feel that the end is near!

  • this is just magical, best score i've EVER heard!

  • from 00:35- to 1:10 breath taking

  • completely agree. best part.

  • @urmylolipop Its called "Dumbledores Farewell" :)

  • @urmylolipop makes me cry

  • I perfect piece to open up the new HP movie. It sets the mood for the story and the flight of the Deatheaters+Greyback.

  • i love the end

  • the dvd comes out dec. 8th in the US

  • I don't know of anything John Williams has done for a few years now ... has he done anything? It's going to be interesting to see what it's like in the seventh film ...

  • so amazing ♥

  • i can't wait too see this again in IMAX in few days!

  • i like john williams stuff, e.g. Star Wars is epic, however whenever i watch Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, my mates always say the music sounds so like Star Wars for example Quidditch, Third Year.

Hooper has brought has created the best music for Harry Potter, especially this score, and Dumbledore's farewell.

however he has kept John Williams quidditch score, and basically revamped it. Compare Ron's Victory with "Quidditch Third Year"

  • Dang, I LOVE this movie. I have already watched it two times including the first 12:00 showing. I wish I could see it numerous times a day but at least I get to see again at Imax when it comes out July 29th. :)

  • It'll probably be on dvd by Christmas.

  • And besides within a couple of weeks it'll probably be on the internet for download so you can watch it there.

(Beware of fakes at the mo. They're 700mb big and just say codec error - use windows media player on them but don't actually work whatever you use.)

  • Before Christmas, I think.

  • This first part of this track to Harry and Dumbledore at he Ministry after confronting Voldemort at the end of Order of the Phoenix was beautiful. Almost brought tears to my eyes and mind you, I never get too emotional because of films.

  • i'm upset that the "Harry Theme" was only like 10 seconds long. I mean that's the theme of Harry Potter. I understand John Williams didn't write this score but use his theme like the past 2 films! Anyway, I hope and pray that John Williams writes the score for Deathly Hallows, no one else should touch it! He would bring nothing but epicness. And since Deathly Hallows will be in two parts, the soundtrack can be a deluxe one!

  • Freaking love it. This is going to be one awesome opening scene.

  • I don't like it...I miss the main potter theme in the openings. and JOHN WILLIAM PWNS every other composer!!

  • The opening music does make you feel like HBP and DH are a two parter story just listening to this makes you feel like something epic and dangerous is going on the wizarding world unlike the other scores that focused solely on Harry.

  • Ohh 1:50 has a very epic feel to it that is very nice. Perfect for the opening scene.

  • NO MORE JOHN WILLIAMS? whats with that?

  • He's been gone since the 4th movie. There has been no more John Williams for four years =3

  • two really. fifth & sixth movies? i didn't notice for the fifth D: thats sad.,

  • LOL that's okay. I know lots of people would probably disagree with me, but I was getting tired of his style. >_>

I think there was too much grandeur in it.

  • agreed, I think Hooper adds a freshness and maturity to it. Doyle's Goblet of Fire score is forgettable.

  • John Williams was too busy with Memoirs of a Geisha to score Goblet of Fire and Nicholas Hooper has scored every one of David Yates' film projects since his student films and that's not likely to change any time soon.

  • actually now it is gonna change. Hooper resigned. He said it takes too much time away from his family. John Williams really wants to compose it.

  • Yeah, I read the news yesterday. I have to say I never saw that coming! Hooper also said he thinks "a certain composer should finish the series he started." Such a nice gesture.

  • Fuck damn x__x John Williams is a good music writer but the later films underscores were just so much better. Now I'm worried.

  • Awesome!

  • Epic!

  • I love this song!! It's sounds so sad from 0:37-1:15.
