Why is it when there is a person that can really help the whole world do they get taken away from us? "Using no way as way, having on limitation as limitation". R.I.P Bruce Lee.
@rosenthal81 Its because it is the highest of respect that one must be remembered. If he fell from grace later in life his teaching would be dismissed. This way, his death, we only are able to remember him at his best, physicaly and spiritually thus making him a legend of Martial Arts and life.
Fighting Black Kings Movie Kyokushin Karate Intro. Soshu Oyama in New York City (later founded US Oyama Karate) in Mas Oyama's first World Karate Tournament in Japan 1975. APologies, thought it was 1976.
@JKT6 Absolutely. However, in 1976, there was a huge bare knuckle tournament where martial artists were invited from all over the world to compete (think a Kumite' type event only this really happened ;p). What impresses upon me the most is
(a) Bruce Lee would have attended this (b) When Chinese martial arts was represented, it was defined as weak and pathetic. (c) Lee would have been infuriated with the "stylists" that had been invited (d) it is quite likely Lee would have himself stepped into the ring out of anger
Traditional kungfu's form, unleashes maximum performance from the body. If the form is done inaccurately, the body would be in ruin. Because of this, we can't mix martial art senselessly. All mixing procedures must be done scientifically, to ensure everything is harmonized.. Therefore, I only agree partial of Jeet Kuen Do's theory. I still like the practicality though. :)
Wow, he would have been even more famous if he was still alive right now. Yes he is very famous now. But he would be a billionaire if he were still alive! R.I.P.

i always find it interesting that bruce lee was a philosipher. Mind and body were at their peak sadly his spirit wasn't up there too and thus he died. just my opinion I'm sure a lot of people think i'm wrong (most of my friends lol) and i'm ok with that. =)
Bruce Lee has a scrapbook about different types of martial arts???? How come I've never heard of this before and what happened to that book? It needs to be preserved and brought into the public eye.

Incredible Bruce Lee playlist. The break from my studies was watching these posts. As far as martial arts is concerned: To many times have we heard stories of guys who have a black belt not being able to use it effectively on the street. The street has no rules, no bounds, & anything can happen at any time. Structure can have its place, but being fluid is a much better option. An important note for anyone to remember: It's not fear, it's adrenaline, & it just made you stronger, don't fear it.
