Honestly, I have no freaking clue. But I can almost garauntee you, you are better off just getting a rental phone at narita airport. Its fairly painless, and economical from what I understand. There may be a way to use your phone, but frankly I dont know what it is. Best of luck.

It is hard to get a job in Japan. Teaching is the easiest. And im pretty sure you mean a Hostile? Anyways if you come as a teacher allot of the companies pay for your appartment...as long as you are teaching. And if you want to move away from teaching but stay in Japan you first need to find a job and then get a visa. Wich can be hard sometimes. Im in Japan right now and although it sounds kinda tough it's defenately worth it in the end. Any questions just send me a PM.
