The Boss FV-500H will work with moog pedals also is that correct? or does it need to be the Boss FV-500L

Correct! used as expression pedals both FV-500L and FV-500H will work w/ Moogerfoogers JUST USE A STEREO CABLE for connection (otherwise it won't work). It's only when used as a volume pedals that FV-500L and FV-5000H are different = L for line level instruments ; H for electric guitars... Cheers!

... my setups really change all the time... in this video: roland handsonic hpd15>moog ring modulator>moog low pass filter>bbe sonic stomp>boss re20 space echo. + 2 boss FV500L (used as expression pedals, left on screen) controlling cut-off and resonance parameters of low pass filter (right on screen) + 1 boss EV5 (right on screen) controlling rate+intensity of space echo (left on screen).
