@ShunjianDaRhapsodos I used to have the same problem with that screenpack and the one I have now. If I am not mistaken, that screenpack uses the ogg file for music for the title, select, and vs screens. My advice is to download a sound file convertor so you can still keep the music you want as your bgm. but be aware that not all screenpacks use ogg files

The Directions are not clear on how to install it how do you correctly install the def files or whatever im soo confused i need help...

The character select and menu .def files go into data. Stage files go into stages, and character files into chars. The .def files should appear as notepad files, and require no installation.

You need WinMUGEN Plus:

Click on download MUGEN on the left side and download WinMUGEN Plus. You can use both normal stages and hi-res stages too. However, WinMUGEN Plus only works with hi-res screenpacks, such as the one I showed in my video.

Anyway, downloading Plus will allow you to see all of the characters.

And also in my reg. MUGEN select.DEF file, i opened it with Notepad and got a tutroial instead on how to add characters, but don't know where the select file is, the one to put your characters name in.

All of the intro files go into the data folder. Make sure to edit the system.def file to acknowledge the intro.

In the screenpack's zip file, there is a folder called Select and it has many different variations on character input. It also has backup select files in case any mistakes are made.

It's no problem.

At the beginning part of your system.def, or somewhere near there, you should see this:

logo.storyboard = logo.def ;Logo storyboard definition (optional)

intro.storyboard = intro.def ;Intro storyboard definition (optional)(optional)

If it's not there, make sure that it is. It should now play shortly after loading.

Make sure the intro.def has the music and .sff files linked correctly and you shouldn't have any problems.

Okay, i got that part down, now, I'm trying to put some music in the title and select screen. I put the song in the menu folder, editted the .DEF file and put sound/MenuBGM.mp3 in, it's silent now. Did I do something wrong?

Yeah, I had that same problem. Try this instead:

title.bgm = data/title.mp3

title.bgm.loop = 1 ;Set to 0 to prevent looping ;Music to play at char select screen.

select.bgm = data/select.mp3

select.bgm.loop = 1 ;Music to play at versus screen.

vs.bgm = data/VS.mp3

vs.bgm.loop = 1

Put that under where it has [Music] in the system.def file, move the music you want to use for the menu in the data folder, and change their names to the corresponding names you see in what I pasted.

Open up your mugen.cfg file and go to Sound Configuration and make sure it's all turned on.

If it still doesn't work, I could try sending you my plugins and see if that helps.

I could never find an Hi-Res screenpack, so I settled with using regular WinMugen. I got BrokenMugen which I have to say is by far the best I've ever seen, though it's not hi-res..

But heh, the VS screen song is from BrokenMugen, and so are the new lifebars(unless they too came from somewhere else but idk)
