I guess what ever is comfortable works, and it definitely works for him!

This guy has a really nice feel; wish I had something similar! But didn't hear much of Roy Haynes or Tony Williams in this. Elvin was only mildly emulated. But his Blakey was pretty reminiscent.

Thanks. The heads are calfskin....made by Earthtone....fantastic. I haven't had any trouble keeping them in tune.

Thanks. The kit is custom made maple with bubinga....solid brass hardware. Made by Bearing Edge drum company who stopped making drums a few years ago. Cymbals are Spizzichino, 22 on left, 23 on right.
