I have an mk4 2.0 jetta. Was it worth for your friend to put the Turbo on? Is it cheaper or any better than a Supercharger? I want more hp from my mk4 without having to swap motors. Everyone keeps telling me i should have just bought a 1.8T. Probabley true... :(
well the upgrade is good but if you don`t want to have problems...better buy a car with turbo original, 1.8T can be, if is a 2.0 Tfsi can be better. Put the upgrade to the 2.0 isnt easy.. if you can buy a 1.8T, do it.. because in an upgrade you need to change many things.. isnt only put the turbo.. in mexico the cost for a turbo like this.. can be to 20,000 to 40,000 mexican pesos.. a little more of 4,000 dls.
Thats one reason, I was affraid of going turbo. The maintnence and the cost just goes up. But the results are amazing. Ive been an NA tuner for a little while and I think im just gona stay NA. 1.8T motor cost around the same price for that turbo kit :( lol. So my options are get a supercharger or buy another car. My 2slow is great on gas but boring to drive. I should of got the VR6. I also have a good condition 300zx Turboed z31 that will also sit and rot cuz I cant afford to touch it. :(
well ... if you want make your drive funny... with more power... your car will need more more more gas,,, but belive me, you'll not have regrets,... I had a Seat Leon 1.8T.. much gas.. but much funny...
Turbo or Supercharger is a choice you have to make with what you want out of your car. A Turbo is gonna give your more horsepower which is top end and more speed. A supercharger give you more torque which is low end (or "off the line").
the 2.0 only has 1 s/c choice and its not worth it... it only makes 155 hp and thats max bc they offer a smaller pulley upgrade its the neuspeeds/c some people run it and love it but i thin kfor them money its not worth it
The car stock have around 115 Hp, with the Turbo the power increment to 192 Hp at the tires..only with 13 psi...the owner wants go to 20 psi.. may be with some toys..
same here i have 2.0 jetta and want to make a little quicker. should i go 16v or 20v first of turbo kit.

Hi everyone i am the owner of this car and how are you Kal-el its been a year since that test i was running only 12-13 psi.
right now im running 14-15 psi and tomorrow hopefully i will take the car to the shop the goal is 18-20 psi

Top Speed = Turbo

no es mi auto es de un amigo, el puro turbo no se pero la instalacion completa de turbo, intercooler y demas salio aprox 28 mil si mal no recuerdo
