the ground plate is fixed with the metal stick thorugh a smaller hole than the metal stick diameter. The srew behind the fix-plate is in a screw thread hole, which i cut with a thread cutter. So it press the fix-plate against the metal stick. I use this for years and it is still working great. Also after one hour the position is the same. For my use it is sturdy enough.
