Many other channel produce lesson with complex animation and visual effects, but in fact, it's not really practical, I mean, the content, learners need something simple but contained knowledge, and things that textbooks can not provide. In English teaching, Phil's videos go far in distance. Congratulation : )
In the first sentences you said " the man is wearing a green outfit and that the woman is wearing a red outfit. my question is why do you used the article (a) before the adjectives? Why can't we say the man is wearing red outfit?
@teacher Phil English: I do not think "there is SINGULAR NOUN + AND + SINGULAR NOUN" is the right combination. Check the Grammar in Use of Raymond Murphy and ... yah, THERE ARE is a right choice :)
@MyArtSchool Not really. Only for plural words .Man is singular , woman is singular. So you can say "There is a man and a woman standing next to the mountain" or "There are two people standing next to the mountain". I'm not sure if there's a rule. I am making sentences based on how we talk.
@TeacherPhilEnglish Thanks Phil for the info, btw, i just remember what my teacher at school told me that .. (thing/person) + and + (Thing/person) = plural
