ok Allison, do not listen to people who say you don't have the vocals for your songs. Part of what makes them yours (for me) is that they are sung by you. Take Bright Eyes for example, when I first heard them I was like "dude, this guy can't sing for ****! But I appreciate their music because it's unique and it's their own sound.

You may not be a Mariah Carey or Celine Dion but who the hell wants another one of those around? I want original and different and girl thats you!

This is a great song, and I mean it has hit written all over it, but unfortunately for another singer. You really don't have the vocal chops or phrasing to deliver this song properly.

Your best bet is to submit it to a publisher who can work it and you can live off the subsequent composer royalties. Either that or you will need a fair amount of time with a vocal coach or use a lot of studio trickery to compensate for your vocal shortcomings (like Paula Abdul did on her albums).

annnnd you obviously dont know the style very well. vocals like hers are what makes this unique. like reylady27 says, vocals arent all about sounding ridiculous and poppy. her vocals are very original and soft and beautiful. in no way, should she change it. its the style you have to understand. its not poppy. and its not what you listen to on the radio everyday (although it should be!)

Anyways, beautiful song Allison! I'm buying your EP as I type this. Love your songwriting!
