10R can do 10.0 in stock, it did ZX9R in 98 already, anyway i did my best on ZX9R 10.98 and now on ZX10R 10.36, still having bad launch, but the bike has almost 60000 km ODO and was raced on circuits and traveled in winter on salted roads, always wheelies etc. so I say ZX10R is very good bike though :-)
the 03-04 zx10's had high 9's stock with a pro rider from all the mags i belive it still is the fastest 1/4 stock liter bike
its hard to get a busa in the 9's bone stock so for a 400lb crotch rocket i think kawi knows whats up on a str8 line not so sure whats goin on with the track????
@jnpowell914 only way your stock zx10 will run 9 is if the throttle gets stuck and you fell off at quarter track post ur vids of your amazing feets on ur bike
not sure...my buddies got a '06 cbr 1000rr...sprocket/chain kit...exhaust, power commander full dyno tuned and on stock tires he was running a 10.38 @ 138mph with tire spin.
without tire spin he'd be hitting 10 even or there abouts...it seems far fetched to me a stock can run a flat 10 but anythings possible

That's a sick launch. That must be an 04 or 05 correct? 06-07 have the under seat exhaust. My best is 10.7 on my 06, but I'm at over 6000ft. Plus I suck at launching still. Like 1.9 60ft

On a shit track with no VHT/sticky crap best I can get outa my 10's in two meets was 10.8 at 226kmh .669 though :\ Same time for a stock fightered one vs a cammed/modded one.. means I suck.. haha. I don't adjust suspension or anything though, just drop up to 8 psi outta the tyres and run them in road racing config for a realistic time (for daily usage). One day I'll have a proper go though...

i believe you, but that's it, they did like 10.2 10.3 and after some more tries they did 9.98, R1 was like 10.4, 10.5 - it was in some sport magazine in those ages.... i've just upgraded ZX9 to ZX10 and will race tomorrow so i'll see :)

It took me 5 weekends to get a stock ZX10 to run 9.5's-9.6's consistantly (and I'm a girl). Someone is mistaken about the Suzuki's though...the GSXR 1000 is much more predictable during the launch. It only took me 3 passes to run a 9.43 on a GSXR 1000 in Prostar configuration (which is nearly stock, no quick shifter, 3 inches off the ground, no ballast...look up the rules if you are interested). I prefer the GSXR :)

Those are good times for your weight. I was mad because I didn't have it into the 9.3's in 5 weeks, but the bike was very unpredictbable for my weight, with the stock shock. The GSXR only had a pipe and powercommander for mods (no head work or ceramic bearings like you're thinking) and it actually dynoed at 6 HP less than the ZX10, but HP doesn't matter if it's not manageable.
Thanks Therealtony, If you can't run a 10sec ET on a Ten, it ain't the bike! Since that run I've gone faster. The ET may not be on the video, but I've got the slips.
lets see them because the guys at road and track are damn near pros and they tested the 06 ZX-10r and the best they could pull is a 10.325 theres no reason to lie man.. its obvious the bike is fast.. but i hate to talk smack my Gixxer would walk it like a poodle :\ haha no it would be a hell of a race tho! i ran a 10.6 on that and they could only run a 10.5 and i was on shitty track
