@bcsk8ter Long story. He left Howard Stern Show in Dec. 2009. In January 2010, he attempted suicide with a self inflicted stabbing. Fortunately, his Mom discovered him and he was rushed to the hospital. He underwent surgery and is doing well. He's been in a facility that deals with mental health and addiction issues for the past year. Howard has not filled his spot on the show and is not expected to. He always the option of going back to Stern, but at this point, its just not likely.

He will probably just continue with his stand up. Which is fine. It will be just Howard, Robin, Fred and Benjy. The show only has 5 more years. I think Howard is going to wrap it up at that point.
