they dont come with 32 gigs. youd have to upgrade to that much. and than you have to have a motherboard that will support that much ram. theres only like 2 motherboards taht actually support 32 gigs. most of them are limited to 8 or 16 gigs. (4 slots of 4 gigs.)

Well. RAM, memory... RAM is a type of memory, with some properties that make it useful. Speed would be one... And the fact that it's connected to a CPU more or less directly. but that's not the point. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to find a laptop with 32GB of ram now. Maybe not in stock in the local shop, but it's definitely out there :) A quick google search reveals DELL Presicion M6600, which has enough RAM slots to handle that.

@AllofVideos 3gb is alot of ram. He has 9 gb dedicated to minecraft, however, that explosion only used 3gb out of that 9. But fuck, one program using 3gb all to itself is insane.

if you run your own server script, you can didicate how much ram an application can use, that helps improve the performance in this case. Also, your laptops processor and graphics chip will help reduce lag but apparently ram plays a huge part.

Minecraft should have a moon realm. You'd have to collect a lot of materials to build a rocket and travel there. Notch would have to put in a new element like oil for fuel and you could power it by gathering electricity from lightning or a hydroelectric dam. The minerals on the moon would have to be really special though and carry a huge roll on the Minecraft earth.
