I don't know where you got "60mph top speed" from, but let me put it this way: I've luged this hill - when I arrived I didn't believe the *slope* we were driving on was the hill.

Those road markings are 3m and it takes (at around 57s) one luger about 0.30s to travel the length of one... To quote Adam & Joe "Speed equals distance over time"...
