The Lich king is the combination of an orc shaman's ghost (Ner'zhul, I think. I was never much of a nerd for warcraft lore) and a human (Arthas Menethil)

The armor Arthas wears is where Ner'zhuls Soul was placed, by Kil'Jaden. Theres a BIG story behind it. But for the most part you got it right, its just not really his ghost its his soul =P

northrend is mad! you can go there at any level but they recommend lvl 65

Northrend actually looks really amazing compared to the rest of wow, a HUGE upgrade. I think you need to be 68 to get quests in Northrend, but like Outlands you can go there at any level.
