cause as you get older you need to mature and the whole band has matured. they liked that part of their life because it gave them fame. but on the other hand they wanted to put it behind them and start new chapters in their lives and that meant cutting their hair.

Cognitive dissonance is a stretch...  but is certainly more feasible than group think. In any case, I think more people like this album than not...
