  • @crizack89 Ice Cube used it for Ghetto Bird too...You hear in the intro of Menace to Society...(classic)

  • The synthesized high pitch tone in this song is one of the top samples used in hip hop music today.

  • @MrTrollski Lmao! Right? Same here lolol

  • OMG! I remember when my uncle first came home with this album and played this song and I was like wth!!! I must have been 5, my family thought that was so funny!!!!!

  • I know a chick that ate a dick once........she said it needed ketchup

  • Grand Theft Auto San Andreas!!!!!!!! XXD

  • THIS IS REAL FUNKY DONT FIGHT THE FEELING

  • It was once said by a man who couldn't quit

"Dopeman, please, can I have another hit?"

The Dopeman said, "Cluck, I don't give a shit

If your girl kneels down and sucks my dick!"

  • Great song, but I remember it being played on radio to the point where some DJs got tired of it, with one of them stopping the playing of it mid-way, saying "it's a stupid song!"

  • 1 person is a clueless soul-deadening mofo

  • I heard or read that George Clinton wrote this song, and gave it to the Ohio Players. Is this true?

  • i want to know who the fucktard is that disliked this song. if this isnt some of the funkiest 2.5 minutes of your life, i want whatever youre on. this song was pretty crucial to alot of west coast gfunk rap and its classic. CLASSIC.

  • Is that William Murderface's black cousin talking?

  • I was 12 years old in 72, and this sounds just like it did in 72 sweet and funky. What ever happened to the Ohio Players?

  • Funk and rock both peaked in the late 60's and early to mid 70's

  • Dopeman.

  • I hear so many people complain about the lack of instrumental skill. Thats not the problem to me. I feel that the technology thats available now is capable of making the same inspirational music. The problem is lack of creativity. Whether its a drum machine or kit, you have to put some thought and soul behind it and not just hit play.Just because a person uses collage instead of paint doesn't make him any less inspirational. It depends on the artist and his creative skill.

  • I remember that my uncles wouldn't let me stand around them when this song was playing. lol,..they thought it was too dirty,...too suggestive,... Wow,..compared today's music,..this is a nursery rhyme. The memories!

  • Don't, Don't, Don't Fight The Feeling

    Don't Fight It

  • i told yall we will never see or hear creative soul music like this again cause these guy are true musicians, today these young wipper snatchers only buy samples of music and click it together ,that aint no damn music that pretending!!!!!!!

  • 1 person is not a Funky Worm >:(

  • This is with Walter(Junie)Morrison

  • How many rap songs used a sample from this song? Kriss Kross? M.C. Breed? N.W.A.? Ice Cube? and obviosly an inspiration for Dr. Dre's "The Chronic" album!

  • @tension1906 Xzibit sampled it in the second synth bridge for his song "The Shrooms" on the album 40days and 40 nights

  • thats one funkyworm!!

  • 9 cans of shaving powder xD

can someone old enough tell me what that means?

  • @MysticSonic007 They're taling bout the Magic Shave, man! That stuff stinks i.e. funkay.

  • A CORRECTION:

This "Funky Worm" was launched in 1974 NOT 1972. Classic tune.

Sampled for Eazy-E, Kriss Kross and "Boom shake the Room" de DJ Jazzy Jeff and The Fresh Prince.

  • @funkberto I remember hearing this before 74 actually.

  • gta san andreas!! bounce fm :O!!!! jajaja

  • @0YoByTo0 The funk-to-puss has you....

  • Man I wish Jimi would have lived to hear this song. This is one of the most creative songs ever made!! that's why it never gets old!!

  • Somebody did a dead on balls accurate imitation of Moms Mabley.

  • That "Worm" is still funky as ever.

  • Comment removed

  • @1200killer He used an ARP pro soloist for that riff. Courtesy of Walter ' Junie ' Morrison.

  • Sample for GTA san andreas.

  • what synth is this that he was using?

  • worm lead

  • ARP 2600 or Pro-Soloist.

  • it sounds like a mini moog. I have one from the 1970's. I don't lend it out, cause I'm afraid I won't get it back or something may happen to it. Youtube moog keyboards. See if you see a small black one. This synth was used mostly in funkadelic/ & parliament music.

  • It IS a Mini-Moog. Junie was one of the first real Mini-Moog innovators. You should pull up Junie's "The Cookies Will Get You" and check out the solo's he takes near the end of the song. Flat WICKED!!!

  • @groundfxdude dude, I tried to pull it up on youtube as well as google. Where can I pull it up at? You got me curious.

  • It was in here last year; but has been removed. I'll see what I can do about uploading it. It means a trip to the storage unit, ands may take some time, but is totally worth it. I'll let you know...

  • THIS IS THE FUCKING SHIT! Funky mother fucking WORM! Oh that's funky, real funky!

  • badass * * * * * funky shit

  • thats funky!!

  • Funky!

  • Sounds like the grandma squid from Squidbillies.

  • lol ur right lmao

  • The funk bands of the 70's were some creative cats and the Ohio Players were at the top the list (along with the Isley's, Funkadelic and EWF).

  • @rievans57 the problems arose when people stopped creating and just stuck to sampling

  • @SoylentJesus So true. Today's music lacks human feel. At lease Sly Stone played real instruments while using a drum machine!

  • @rievans57 U KNOW what U talkin' bout! These were true musicians-u could go see 'em in concert and still have enough money for a nice meal....these kids today have missed out on REAL talent!

  • @rievans57 maybe lsd was cheaper at that time!

  • dr.dre sample, this dude is a freak!

  • Loved this as a kid!!! :-)

  • LOL gta san andreas, rap sample i guest, cool song that is under the radar.

  • nwa dopeman and aint no future in your frontin mc breed
