I honestly love the well he played the 104. He raises pre to steal which is fine from middle position. Than phil basically shows his hand because he gives so much information it's so obvious. He's getting 2/1 on a call to basically beat a hand he can see, ak. Now I personally would of preferred a check by him on the flop to induce phil to commit more chips or the value bet the river making it look like a bluff ... Phil just talked too much in this hand that's y he lost
I think the idiot played that hand perfectly, yes he called a raise with 10 4 but he only did so because Phil wouldn't shut his trap about his hand. He made it perfectly clear that he had AK and Phil clearly thought that the guy had a huge hand, so he took advantage of that fact by raising big post flop as if he had a big overpair.

Hellmuth basically told Dragomir what he had (AK) pre-flop.

Dragomir was correct calling his re-raise. Even with T4s Dragomir had 2 live cards, or about 37% chance to win. He only had to call about $175,000 in a pot worth $400,000, or a 30% chance. Not only that, when no A or K appeared on the flop Dragomir could bet even if the flop missed him (as Hellmuth didn't know what he had), or quickly fold if an A or K did appear.

Which worked pretty nicely. Phil raised him out of position, so he cleary has a very strong hand... the flop changed the game, since it was drawy like hell... you don't wanna play this flop even with a AA/KK/QQ or something...

Well, in a cash game, you can play more agressively and more random since you can rebuy. In a tournament this isn't the case. And the scenario you were talking about( 72 vs KK), they were probably playing a seven deuce cash game, regularly done on highstakes poker. It's a prop bet, if you win a hand pre or post flop with 7 2, you receive an amount of money from everyone on the table. I can't see another reason why a pro like hellmuth would bet with the worst preflop hand in poker.
To some extent I do defend Dragomir's play, especially if he puts Phil on AK AQ KQ and that range of hands and feels if he leads out on a low flop he is likely to win.
AK is overrated, unless you pair or see a paired board its hard to really know what shape your in

I wouldn't call a raise with 10-4(or bet with 10-4 in the first), but Phil practically tells him what he has pre-flop so he knows if he avoids the AK on the flop he can pick up the flop and push phil on mega tilt and out of the tournament.

I can't believe how many posts I see from people who know very very little about poker.
This is where all the people who think Phil is so good come from.
Phil played like a complete donk this hand and Dragomir played it perfectly, maybe with the exception of the initial raise to 80k which you have to do sometimes in tournies like this.
The Mouth explains the hand to Phil in the clip even - and knows what sort of hand Dragomir has. If you need me to explain the math ... just ask.

On top of that, if you watch the whole hand, I think it's very very clear Hellmuth has AK, easily readable preflop. Making it an even easier call.

Dragomir knows what hes doing - it wasn't his intention to win this hand at a showdown... his plan was to outplay Hellmuth... so it didnt really matter which card he's playin...
Which worked pretty nicely. Phil raised him out of position, so he cleary has a very strong hand... the flop changed the game, since it was drawy like hell... you don't wanna play this flop even with a AA/KK/QQ or something...

Well, in a cash game, you can play more agressively and more random since you can rebuy. In a tournament this isn't the case. And the scenario you were talking about( 72 vs KK), they were probably playing a seven deuce cash game, regularly done on highstakes poker. It's a prop bet, if you win a hand pre or post flop with 7 2, you receive an amount of money from everyone on the table. I can't see another reason why a pro like hellmuth would bet with the worst preflop hand in poker.

To some extent I do defend Dragomir's play, especially if he puts Phil on AK AQ KQ and that range of hands and feels if he leads out on a low flop he is likely to win.
AK is overrated, unless you pair or see a paired board its hard to really know what shape your in

from the beginning Phil pretty much advertises his hand - announcing "I think you've got A-Q". Pretty obvious he's making a big raise with A-K.
If this is the case, then Dragomir is almost 50 % to hit one of his cards. Not a bad call there really. He also knows that post-flop, he can likely drive Phil off of the A-K if it doesn't hit with a big raise.
Phil is such a wanker this way. He announces his hands to the table with most of his talk, and whines when he gets called, and outplayed.
