Ok folks, I'm going to have to weigh in. While I do not believe that "feeling" is an indication of talent or technical ability, I do enjoy "feeling" the music when I am playing, and enjoy watching talented artist who get into the music when they are playing. I'm influenced by people who tend to put a lot of emotion into their playing, as you can tell. I have an appreciation of people who can wail on a solo and show that they are letting their whole essence become an avenue for the music.

Actually it is (was...now sold) a Deluxe Reverb Reissue, and I'm using TS-808, Boss Super Overdrive, and an old cream (before mosfet) Fulltone Fulldrive 2 as a boost.

Yes it does...has the SCN pickups that come standard with the American Deluxe strat.

that's what I thought. SCN's don't quite ctach the real single coil vibe, and are closer to a humbucker wired in parallel, at times. i noticed you're using the bridge pickup - but it doesn't sound like a noral Strat bridg pickup. If I were to use my Strat to get this tone, I'd use my neck or neck/middle for the same sort of lead tone.

The Fulldrive II is a great pedal, and I would highly recommend it if you're looking for a bluesy feel. Likewise with the TS-808, but it doesn't have as many options. The Boss SD-2 is awesome if you want to add a heaviness to your overdrive - it's my all out rock pedal. Guess it really depends on what you're looking for.
