lol what is hard about this read? if u raise preflop u most likey dont hit here, phil just didnt put him on a pocket pair (because with 1010, JJ or smth he might play the flop check/raise and not bet it and with lower than 77 ppl usually dont raise preflop) so theres very very few hands he might call with. i bet phil put him on KJ, KQ, A10, AJ or smth and knew he could bluff him out......seriously thats the easiest move ever....and i usually defend some(and only SOME) of hellmuths play lol....

Well, the "move of a world champ" was actually the worst of them. With the odds Ross is getting he needs just over 23% to be able to call profitably and he has that even with a hand like QJo (against 22+ A2+,KT+,QT+ JT+) So what happens here is that about 96-98% of time Hellmuth is gonna get called and be behind and 2-4% he's gonna get a worse hand to fold (non-diamond suited connectors worse than JT). So there is not a SINGLE hand Ross can have against which this is a good move.
