@xiragata Nowhere does the Bible even give the idea that Mary was without sin. If when she gave birth to the purest being this world has ever seen she was still considered to be unclean. Jesus is the only person to be without sin. That is very misleading for the pope to say that she was. Many Catholics put Mary up on a pedistal when she doesnt belong there.

@kiwichristian2009 The Pope represents God, it is not the same, we catholics are taught very early to adore ONLY GOD. The Pope is the Vicar of Christ not God.

@takioc Well, I pray with the priest when I go to the Church, I do not "pray to the priest". The Pope is a fallible human being. We respect the Pope but we pray with him when we are in his presence, not to him. Well Jesus said so when He told to Peter the He would build His Church on this Rock (Peter means Pedro, which means rock). Look if you really want to know more about catholic stuff you will better served if you read catholic books.Peter was the first.Vicar of Christ on Earth.

Thus, all Christians are of that holy priesthood and can offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.There is not a man or group of men on earth who can offer unto God spiritual sacrifices for others.

@kiwichristian2009 That is the wrong maner to interpret what Peter said; he was instructing each one of us to remain pure, so God could dwell in us and our sacrifices be accepted. Yes, under the Catholic Doctrine each one of us can offer sacrifices in behalf of another. Many Saints did just that.

@kiwichristian2009 Are you sure that the Virgin Mary cannot interced for us? Truly, I do believe that the Virgin Mary as Mother of Jesus can do that, I know, she listens to us. How coud Jesus refuse His Mother's requests?, Jesus didn't refuse Mary when she asked Him to tranform water in wine at the wedding in Cana, and that is biblical. There you have proof that Jesus listen to His Mother.
