this riff was on "the new song - AKA Death is not the end" wich they chose to ditch in the end but the closest to "the new song" is "The end of the line" so go check it out! ots maybe my favorite song of that album.

Over respected? The Call Of Ktulu has so many good Cliff solos. The intro to For Whom The Bell Tolls live versions has good fast cliff bass solos. Robert only has a groove or whatever. Cliff is not over respected. Cliff also has a song called Anesthesia(Pulling Teeth). How can you call someone who is just an all around good bassist over respected. Can you not here what he does?

No offense to anyone who liked that album, but all I heard was clanging pots & pans, trash can lids and that annoying "poing"...If Lars would have kept the drums heavy, it would have been an improvement... but even so, I didn't care much for any of the songs.

At 20sec the adaptation of the old riff from 'the new song' is now a little more aggressive, i hope this is on the new, i really liked the solo and middle section on the original live version. But even then i said the riff was weak and missing something!!

Not to worry, I am a Metclub member, and in the latest issue of So What (Metallica official magazine for fans), James Hetfield said that the tuning is in E and 440 whatever...I actually like this riff, but it sounded better when it was faster :/
