can anyone find inspector 'yes we can' (rise and shine) on youtube? i'm in england and the only way i can get hold of soca is to convert these videos to mp3. thank you!
I still love Speki, heard him the first time I visited Greenz from T'dad in 1985 as a small child and always loved him. His music is still very Grenadian, which is what I like, it doen't ever sound Trini or Jamaican and he like Machel in Trinidad, paved the way for the majority of young soca artistes now. I respect him but I agree his songs have not been hot for the past few years and the production could use some work. We still love you Inspector.
I can't say I agree. Although I like a lot of the soca choons that have come out of Grenada and they have really stepped up their game to make what I think is amongst the best and most individual (jab jab beats/horns) soca in the Caribbean, I still like that Inspector is making soca that sounds like Grenadian soca as I grew up with. No disrespect to Lava Man et al but Inspector paved the way and still has a place even though he may not match what is expected of Greenz soca as it stands now.
yeah I agree, Inspector is still fighting up but the productions are lacking man. Specky we love you but look for some new producers. Doh fraid to ask for help you still big and still respected.
