@MrDancewithme12 You may experience lag from the video if you use excessive video effects on a video instead of an image because it has to make a quick render on the spot. I do not know a way to avoid this, so I guess you will have to deal with the lag. If you want more powerful software that doesn't experience lag, I currently use Sony Vegas Movie Studio so you might want to consider an upgrade.

If they are not any of the supported filetypes, you will need to convert them to one of those formats using a video conversion software you can find by searching on google. ;)

@Erginzeth to create lyrics, you're right about using the titles and credits option. Make sure you're in the timeline mode to start and end each phrase of lyrics in timing... does that help at all? It's basically trial and error until you find a good transition for your lyrics... take a look at my Jack Johnson video if you have questions about timing.
