he actually went 280mph because i spoke the bloke who created the car and said he used a more advanced engine and lighter body to increase the speed. i know this because i bought a V.I.P ticket and got to speak to the coloured man who was incharge of building the car.

That's fast for the jet car! I've seen it do 260 before but not 280.

@smarrendith No jet funny car can run 280 miles per hour on 5.81 seconds, so on this one either the clocks were off (but not likely, because this car never runs that fast), he jumped the second mph light, or Santa Pod jacked the lights for him to inflate the speed.
