The original version is much better. Blind Guardian's version is in my opinion poor....why would someone cover such great and unique song ? What's the point in covering songs ? Do something new, produce your own material and leave classics alone....don't destroy good music !

I prefer the Blind Guardian version... of course the Mike Oldfield one is great too! Love both of them so dont get me wrong. But I believe this is one of this rare situations where the new version slightly surpasses the original. The Blind Guardian Version is more powerfull and the song gets a greater "impact" through this.

But its just my opinion.

i am a true Blind Guardian fan, i have almost all their original albums, including their life albums (except for A twist in the myth that is a little hard to find here in my country), but i have to admit that the original version of the song if better than blind´s version.

The Blind Guadian is more epic i have to admit, pero the original has a mystic feeling that makes it the best.
