i've been watching nba since about 1980,there r only few player ever get their head at least 1 inch over the rim.(in game or practice or dunk contest,video or photo) here's the list: julius erving,tom chambers,stacy augman,gerald green,shawn kemp,lebron james,ryan hollins,hakim warrick,vince carter,dwight howard.. if u check photos or vedio from only one or two angle,u 'll be misled to think about 20-40 players ever did that(they stilll may could),angle can lie.

Just one last thing, Kadour Ziani is supposed to have a 61 inches vertical jump,he can definitely get his head way above the rim, seen him on many videos and believe me or not I've seen him dunking for real, this guy used to practice and play with my cousin on the court down his place when I was younger, with the Slam Nation, and being 5'9 he must have a kind of vertical around 54 inches just to get his head to the rim, so imagine how high he can get to almost put his entire head above the rim..

I've seen MJ's head over the rim many times, which is equivalent to a 42-43 inches jump (just to get his head to the rim), so know you need to know that in game you rarely jump as high as you potentially can get, and it's even less likely that you do it ball in hands, so taking into account all that don't you think that MJ could potentially jump 5 or 6 inches higher than you've seen him do in game? if not, I can't help you no more man
