If Pam really did "die", wouldn't Bobby and Christopher have been notified? I understand Bobby had power of attorney over all the financial stuff she left Chris, but no final will? No notification? Ugh, they botched up this storyline badly.

I liked the actress playing Pam here. A respectable recast.

ok. could someone tell me something: at one point a woman came to town and bobby fell hard for her (obsessed actually) because of her very close resemblance to pam. her name i think was jeannie. i think she left town after she found out why bobby loved her. my question is: wasnt she margaret michaels?if she was, what is the name of the actress who actually the post plastic surgery pam?? this woman looks NOTHING like victoria principal.

wouldnt it be fun if they brought pam back on the dallas reboot? maybe she didnt die after all but couldnt bring herself to tell anyone so she comes back and watches bobby, cliff, and christopher from afar but winds up getting caught somehow. cool huh?

Pam to me was the only one for Bobby. not April, or Jenna or that new wife he is going to have in the new Dallas series it will never be the same for me for Bobby to be with another woman.

Margaret was like a twin to VP. They should have done a better storyline with her! And on the other side from todays view VP could've returned for these two final scenes of Pam Ewing!

Dallas declined after VP left the show. VP was my favorite female lead on Dallas but I would have gone along w/Margaret Michaels as a Pam Since Dallas needed Pam esp after Sue Ellen left and MM looks very much like Victoria Principal. It would've been a replacement because it would be an original idea to use a look alike & not a new actress who would've had a totally new face. This would've been very believable & realistic.

Anyway this scene was weird: the point is that psychology is pure nonsense... Pam would have died for being a mother, and close to death, she wouldn't even try to see him once again?? "My love for them is all i really need"?? It's obvious production hoped VP would come back to the show... And I v got a surgeon in my familly: Sorry, but NOBODY would be so beautiful after such an accident... But, OK, it's soap...

I think Margaret Michaels was a good choice, there is some resemblance. They recast her as the Pam look-alike Jeanne O'Brien in the 89/90 season, causing Bobby to be smitten.

On the one hand I admire Victoria Principals firm decision to go and stay gone. On the other hand what a great storyline it would have been to have her come back.

Bobby wakes up and walks into the bathroom...opens the shower door...and there in the shower is.....END OF SEASON, END OF SHOW!

This is soooo bad and very very unPam like..the show went downhill IMO after Victoria left..loved Sue Ellen as well..the show wasnt the same without either one and my viewing of the show was very minimal after both left.. its seems like it was invasion of the young blondes for the Ewing afterwards...

@dramaticguy Yes, Dallas should have simply recast Pam. This actress is a good replacement (she looks quite similar to Victoria Principle & seems to be a good actor). Plus, viewers would expect Pam to look a bit different given the severe accident she was in. Producers could address the Pam issue with a new actress that would be paid far less than Principle. With Jenna gone & Sue Ellen about to leave, bringing Pam back would have been better. Certainly better than Lucy returning!

ROTTON storyline! Seriously, if the producers wanted to get rid of her, why not have her die in the accident. I think Season 11 was when it started to go downhill.  Really, Pam and Bobby loved each other, and it seems that the writers would do anything to destroy their happiness.

So, was the story about loving the doc b.s.? I always assumed it was a ruse to stop Cliff or Bobby trying to see her in the future but it's not really clear. Also, he actress looks similar enough to VP to make the point. Plus, she was supposed to look diff. from the surgery. Furthermore, even the real VP looked much diff. when she left the show than she looked in 1978 b/c of her own plastic surgeries. In any event, this was not one of Dallas's best storylines.

Pam gave Bobby Power of Attorney and all her holdings to be held in trust for Christopher. So divested all of her holdings when she left the hospital and got the divorce from Bobby in season 10. I always wished Pam and Bobby would reunite in another reunion movie.

Even if she gave him power of attorney, that's not the same as giving away all of her holdings (what would she have lived on?). If she had died, Bobby would have heard about it, because Christopher would have inherited everything.

I'm being very nit picky here but if Pam "supposedly" dies, all her Wenthworth inheritance would go to Christopher which was stated in her will when J.R. stole it.also she gave Bobby power of Attorney which J.R.wanted Bobby to help gain control of Westar with all the Wentworth power.

When the camera was far away, this actress could pass for Pam. But when there was a closeup, you can see there is really very little resemblance.

And Pam's reasoning to stay away from Dallas is silly - nobody is that self sacrificing.
