OMG, I can't believe I found this on youtube....I've loved this version of this song for ages, and used to sit and rewind just the last 3 minutes of the movie tape over and over again just to hear this song, many times over. It plays in my head a lot and something told me to come here tonight to see if by any chance it just might be on youtube....I love watching the end creds while listening to the song. One of the best songs ever--the words are brilliant.

LOL... the movie credits say 1965 and Whitney was born in 1963! Even Cher was a teenager when she sang this.

Cllla's performence is my favorite. She just owns it by sending us all a powerful and bittersweet message. The production couldn't be beat, either .. Considering all the wonderful singers that recorded this song, Cher is my secong favorite.. She brings a vulnerablity to this piece; As if she was one of Alfie's "birds" and sang this...just for him..no one else..
