  • They say of the Acropolis, where the Parthenon iiiiiiiis...

  • i love how stephen and josie's clothes match, and ryan and colin's clothes match!

  • Stephen and Josie do good American accents.

Ryan and Colin are the kings of Sound Effects!

  • I love how Fry shows off his chops by speaking Latin for the first two questions in his bit...

  • Forgive me for not knowing who Stephen Fry is, but he seems completely out of place here. Like a British version of Dennis Miller. Seemed like he felt this form of entertainment was beneath him.

  • @CanItAlready: I wouldn't say he felt this was beneath him, but I do agree that he does seem out of place! I don't think he's particularly at ease, unlike some of the others.

  • @CanItAlready: But he does seem much less out of place than he did in the previous episodes of this he was on!

  • Why were so many of the performers on the show American even long before the producers moved it to Los Angeles? By this time in the UK run, the cast was usually over half American (this episode is an exception). I never understood that. (As an American I don't mind that they did since we'd never have had Whose Line US without the established set of American performers who were already veterans of the UK show. ) I use "American" in the continent sense here (to include Canada).

  • @dunbar9finger You forgot Jeff, Kathy, and Denny they was new to Improv when they started.

The players from America come mostly from Second City, such as Colin, Ryan, and Brad, and I believe that since some of the UK was shot in New York (Chip and Greg joined here) auditioned while they were in New York. When they moved to LA, Wayne joined, and the cast members from America stayed in the US series, since they were experienced and had the same producer, so he alreayd knew their talent.

  • @webeffect What's wrong with intellectualism? You sound like die-hard fan of cheesy and pretentious pop culture.

  • STEPHEN FRY'S BACK!!!!!! never dared hope to see him again! i hope this isnt his last appearance!

  • OMG... Questions only IN LATIN!!!!

  • Lol at Stephen pulling the shoulder pads out XD

  • They say of the Acropolis where the Parthenon is...

  • Josie and Stephen doing their American accents for the soap opera thing was SO funny

  • I wish they'd start doing this show again in Britain. The US version was a noble attempt, but paled in comparison.

  • If only Hugh Laurie were involved

  • @ImmyMotala I wish I could *thumbs up* this comment a billion times!!

  • I love stephen's aussie accent, it sounds exactly like my uncle,

  • Without a doubt, the best Sound Effects ever...

  • I do a Dynasty and i do a Dinasty...

  • "This is a simulator, you know that dont you?" lol XD

  • "Could you explain that the Parthenon's in Athens?" lol

  • The audio is a bit off. :x

  • Stephen Fry's American accent is hilarious

7:33-7:40 what exactly is he doing? And why does it make Josie laugh so hard?

  • @Lamporre He's ripping out the "shoulder pads" (which were hugely popular among women in the 80's, especially on TV), in order to get a better grip for the shaking.

  • "Damn gestapo, they fixed my fingers to my eyes."

  • Parthenon != Pantheon.

  • Did Clive just mention the TV soap, Neighbours at 0:30

  • Fry's American accent is amazing!

  • what have you done with my family?

    i lolled

  • haha fail on Panthenon

  • 10:26 sounded so real! Poor Colin!

  • Stephen! *wee* LOL

  • Ohhh lovely stephen. <3

  • You know, Clive Anderson really doesn't have a neck =) Just check 3:43

Just a head on a pair of shoulders =)

  • Its his collar...I hope!

  • what have you done with my family?

  • Stephen Fry is an unexpected beast/master at improvization O_O He should've been on the show more often.

  • Oh my god... this is my DREAM panel....

  • stephen fry is gorgeous and high and true and fine and fluffy and moist and sticky and lovely.

  • couldn't have said it better myself!

  • @ThingsWeSaidToday he's covered in his own brand of pink, fluffy, sticky loveliness :]

  • @ThingsWeSaidToday he does tend to walk in a light cloud of loveliness.

  • why the hell did josie do that to her hair? she looked damn good with the long red locks.

  • @ThingsWeSaidToday Moist, sticky, high and fluffy? Strange terms of endearment there..

  • @ThingsWeSaidToday

    yay moisture!

  • coins face when ryan first makes the elephant noise is amazing!

  • Wonder how many casual viewers got Clive's Belgium reference when introducing Stephen ...

  • AWESOME GROUP.... very diversity ... i love this everyone is so different and so good together

  • damn its stephen fry!

  • OMG Stephen Fry, Colin Mochrie, AND Ryan Stiles in the same room? How has the studio not have exploded from the AWESOME?!

  • oh didn't you hear about that famous uk bloody incident in this studio ? after the show the whole audience could not take anymore the awesomeness ... and all the heads explote at the same time... it was nasty! and that's why they dont put them again together anymore... now its ilegal!

  • @QingTien Don't forget Josie Lawrence!

  • @QingTien

It's because Tony Slattery wasn't there as a fifth guest.

BTW you didtn't give Josie her due

  • @QingTien

    mising a dab of laurie

  • "Will you please stop going off!"

"Damn Gestapo, they fixed my fingers to my eyes"

XD That had me laughing on the floor

  • HAHAHA Josie and Stephen's American accents were spot on. They were amazing.

  • Has nobody else noticed that Ryan is walking funny? It looks like his back must have been WAY out of whack or he's favoring a hip at least. Poor guy must be in awful pain - yet there he is, working!

    What a trooper!

  • yeah, he's kinda limping. poor dude works through it.

  • Stephen Fry and Ryan Stiles? I only ever thought they met in my dreams

  • is it me or is josies hairstyle is different with a different color everytime

  • Wow, it was pretty surreal to see two Whose Line originals paired up with the later-season inheritors of the show. Everything seemed to clash - the nationalities, the clothes, the comedic styles, most interesting.

  • "This is a simulator, you know that right?"

    Brilliant.

  • Stephen knows all too well about the Parthenon (where the Acropolis is) being in Athens.

  • Yes he does! :) Excellent reference, by the way!

  • Thanks! The Parthenon gaffe on QI still makes me laugh hard enough to make my stomach hurt. It's indescribably brilliant.

  • I know; it does the same for me! I have to rely on YouTube to get my QI fix...I'm from America, and they sadly don't show QI over here.

  • I recommend surf the channel for full length episodes of QI on the interweb. I'm from Canada so I rely on the internet as well. I understand your situation perfectly.

  • Very nice...I'll have to find it. Is there a link or something?

  • on surf the channel go to channels, then television, then under Q you'll find QI and then the QI links. Hope you find them.

  • I thought it was the Acropolis, where the Parthenon is, not the other way round...lol

  • I CANNOT believe I screwed that up! And to think I've seen it so many times! I stand hideously corrected and shamed.

  • I love Ryan, but don't you get the impression that when he walks he seems a little bit like Walt Disney's Goofy :)

  • Good to see stephen fry back

  • "Sorry, it's the damn Gestapo. They've fixed my fingers to my eyes!"

  • I love that Steven actually speaks Latin.

  • I do too. Greg Proops know it as well.

  • Really, I've have to check that out.

  • Why did Fry only get 12 points?

  • That's as high as Clive knows Roman Numerals.

  • ha ha ha ha.

  • Thank you. Oh and I love your screenname! XD

  • "Is the Parthenon in Athens?" classic

Sorma, I like how you provide lists of the games in every segment :)

Stephen is so droll. Love him. He also worked quite extensively with Hugh Laurie from "House" quite extensively in years past.

I just now got the joke of him ripping out her shoulderpads during the "Dynasty" segment. Clever!

  • I didn't get the shoulderpads bit. Could you please elaborate?

  • "Dynasty" was an American nighttime soap opera popular in the 80's. In the

80's, women wore huge pads in the shoulders of their blouses and jackets to make them larger (inexplicably). The joke was the he was making fun of the style he was given.

  • That sound effects was really good!

  • I tried clicking on part 2 but it said the video was private... ?

  • and not bad at Australian either!

  • Damn! Josie and Stephen are pretty good at American accent.
