  • Great cover ! but you should loosen up the snare a bit , it reminds me of that fucking saint anger snare from metallica xD

  • U sir. Are a god.

  • thats sick!

  • very good keep it up

  • Overinflated basketball sounding snare =\

cool cover though great job :)

  • Much better on drums than anything else, not gonna lie. Fun to listen to though :D

  • That snare is annoying.

    You should have it damped

  • BASS DRUM SOUNDS SO FUCKING COOL!!!

  • 7 people are jealous as fuck. I know i sure as hell am, this is awesome!

  • Hey man , where did you find your bass tabs because i cannot find any good ones anywhere.....

Would be great it you could reply if not , no bother.

  • wht in ur main instrument ur playing?

    ur rlly good

  • Great Cover *.*

  • @PanterA7454 Haha I didn't know I look like him? :P

  • @PanterA7454 Haha I didn't know I looked like him? :P

  • I'm not the biggest fan of this song, but this video is really awesome!

  • did u play the intro on the bell of the ride or is ur ride just fucking awesome

  • the drums are wayyyyyyyyy off in terms of timing it seems, or is it just me? also the 2nd guitar needs to be played about a step lower. now my constructive criticism is done, its rare to hear a cover come this close to a original A7x song, Great job!

  • nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • defo need to work on your snare sound man all in all though good track !

  • Or perhaps, you meant recording gear...

  • @tripleguy031 Yup I was talking about the recording gear ;)

  • thats it?!?! $1500 USD for all that gear?!? NO WAY! the drums themselves must cost more! ive seen sets all over websites for atleast 700$ on sale for the 7 piece you have there..excluding cymbals XD

  • Also, the last little bit is china 4/4 and snare 2/4. you did crash 4/4 and snare 1/4 and hats 4/4 and snare 1/4. ( I dont know if thats how you say it lol but hopefully you get what i mean :D)

  • good stuff but i dont like your snare.. sorry :/

  • dude your friggin beast

  • very few things i play differently on guitar, but still very good.

  • great work, really close to the original in my opinion!

  • FANTASTIC VID, i was just trying to find a video for examples of behringer C-2's as overheads and this is a superb job, great work man keep it up =]

  • HOLY SHIT! ITS A ONE MAN BAND!

  • dude this awsome and the drum kit is pretty bad ass plus r those double bass pedals DW 5000?

  • The only thing that I have negative about this vid is the snare. Other then that is a great cover, minus a guitar riff.

  • that was sweet dude !

i love covers like this with not just one instrument :)

  • Sick man..

    Awesome \m/ ..

Just there were some mistakes in the Intro.. But this is simply awesome ..

  • sick, what crash cymbals do you use?

    vault?

  • Muiito Maassa

  • wow awesome job man

  • snare sounds like shit!

  • dam man ur snare sounds very nice

  • compress it.

  • what ride is that? its fucking heavenly!

  • @JTKBprodofficial Think it's a 21" sabian AAX metal ride... If I'm not mistaking...

  • @jus1111 they dont make 21" metal rides

  • you play so well !!

wish I could have your abilities on the drums :-)

  • How is the sound going to be if you're using a SM57 on your kick, toms, overheads `?

  • @ZimzeLimze sm57 is somwhat a standard for snares and they will sound good for toms if you do a little eq. i wouldnt reccomend it for kicks unless you double it with an actual kick drum mic such as a sure beta 52 becuase the 57 alone wont have enough bass. ive seen them used for overheads too but its usually better to use condensers for OV mics.

  • great

  • great job! sounds great, do you recommend the c-2 for overheads? because i think im going to buy a pair.

  • @warhammerrokz14 Yes all Behringer mics I've tested are incredible for the price! Just be careful because they break easily...

  • Respect

  • @thekeesta26 is it any good?

  • damn! you're good :D i can only play the drums :P

  • sounds awesome, you're a great musician!

  • i have the exact same double bass pedal

  • how did you get that snare sound it sounds insane

  • I'm not familiar with any songs from this genre, but I happened across your vid and thought that you acheived great results. Good playing and recording techniques. I'd bring down the top of the snare and bring up the trap a little, but that's my own taste. Keep up the good work.

  • what guitar is that?

    amazing btw

  • Drop D?owh!yeah!

    its nice!

  • bloody marvelous! Props for finding time to do all of this, he he :)

  • you should have used the sm57 for the guitar amp :P for a more natural sound

  • cool dude

  • all those instruments, damn you're talented

  • good druming but leave the guitar to people tht know the correct tabs :]

  • @Vmanfresh Please if someone know this person, give him a nice punch in the face for me

  • @jus1111 well you did play the song wrong for rythm.

just sayin ur not to good at improvision

  • Great cover :) btw how good is that bass, coz I'm thinking of buying that bass

  • Ur pro

  • You have talent

  • whoa that bass looks sick!!!

  • awesome

  • to me one of the best

  • Really good!

  • Fantastic! Only one problem, your snare sounds kinda bad. But in terms of playing, 100%. Btw, I reccomend Evans Hydraulic heads. I love em.

  • Triple talent! AMAZING! I will subscribe!

  • damn good job

  • extremely well done man...props

  • i suggest you get a double bass patch for your bass head. it will prevent damage from your beaters and it give it a little more punch

  • Omg this is great shit bro! With a name with Lefebre I guess you are from Quebec pis sa cest sick!!!!!!!!! Good job man j'espere en voir d'autres comme sa! ( I hope to see more like that)

  • @Gab51421 yes el gros je suis de québec! Je vais poster un nouveau cover de As I lay dying le plus tot possible alors click sur subscribe si tu veux voir ca! Cheers!

  • thats suppose to a blast beat bro

  • i just realized its the same person playing both guitar and drums... i feel like a dumb ass.

  • @swz1019 haha lol

  • fucking bad ass man, i was thinking about buying the PreSonus FireStudio Project but now I know I definitely am, it sounds awesome.

  • Why you don´t try to record the guitar from the cabinet with a per of sm57? Always will be better sound. one on the edge axis an the other one in the corner of the speaker.

  • Love you man ...

    You are fucking amazing

  • nice cover, to all the instruments...

but that snare sounds bad man

  • nice job!!

  • is that an aquarian superkick 1 or 2 on the bass drum? it sounds great!

  • @kingpin8393 2 I think. Love it!

  • luv the sound of the bass drum, did you use a plug in for the bass drum?

  • @imabitch4u No, just EQ and compression

  • Great Cover !!! :: ALSO WAtCH OUR // FULL BAND STUDIO COVER of "NIGHTMARE" on our CHANNEL

  • from 3.24-3.34 and 4.25-the end of the song, you really messed up the guitar. it doesnt sound like the original and quite frankly sounds horrible

apart from that, the rest of the song was great. i thought the snare sounded weird at first till i got used to it. but all in all, a great job.

and before i get a whole heap of backlash, no, im not a musician. no, i cant play an instrument. all i can do is sing, but i know when something sounds off

    awesome vid

    8.5/10

  • i like it! :D

you can play all instruments very good.

  • Amazing!

  • Wow, AMAZING! What's the spacifics on your drum set? It's absolutely gorgeous!

  • awesome!!

  • This is great, really talented.

  • Get an EVAND HD dry for the snare it sounds really bad!

  • six very good! good job congratulations

  • wow ur talented, i have the same pedal and your drumms sound great!!! nice job

  • haha i guess im not the only one who uses moon gels haha beautiful drumset great cover guys love it

  • Sweet video dude! It sounds really good and your guitar playing is damn good too!!

  • not bad

  • nice job!! 5/5

  • I havent listened to A7X in so long since they sold out. This reminds me of how great they used to be :(

Amazing Job though :) Love It

  • wow. shut up.

  • hhahahahaha

  • smooth double bass!!!

  • cool dood!

  • You might want to look into dampening your snare. its very ringy. Very good playing on everything. 5 stars

  • good vid by the way.

  • hey ur like me u play everything, its expensive to keep up with aint it......

  • wow...i wish all dat in my room

  • perfect...

  • Ur kick drum sounds awesome (What kind of mic did u use); i have that aquarian head

  • I hate it when people get the bass pattern wrong on that last part but you get five stars for being such a well rounded musician. How long did this take you?

  • In fact the last fill is wrong cause, like I said, I can't play it the right way. It took me about 1 day and a half to record the audio and like 3 hours to recrd the video.

    Thanx

  • yeah i know i understand i wasn't being negative (not trying to anyways)

    just a pet peeve

    haha

  • out of interest, why do you regret purchasing the 8000 double pedal. Just bought one myself and waiting on delivery getting abit worried :s

  • Thanks for your comment. What type of kick pedals do you have? I got DW8000's the ones that convert from a double to two singles, but im having trouble setting em up, any tips?

  • @DB73093 I have a DW8000 too and I have to say I regret my choice... I have no special tip for you unfortunately. Try to search for Jared Falk's secret bass-drum .... something like this. He gives some good tips on youtube.

  • Out of curiosity, why do you regret the DW8000s?

  • The overall song was amazing and sounded good. Me being a drummer I have to say, I really wish you would have put an ORING on that snare, that harmonic coming off of it annoys my ears to no end. Unfortuanate, as it would have sounded soooo good if it was done that way. Is that a maple snare? if not, get one :) trust me

  • @robdrums69 Actually, it is a maple snare. I tunned it really tight to get this harmonic, like in the original song. The Rev's snare is just less annoying because of the professionnal processing it has. Personnally, I don't like oring cause the snare sounds too dead. I prefer moon-gel or nothing on the snare.

    Thanx!

  • dude. this is awesome! ive always wanted to cover an entire song myself, but i have no drum recording equipment and i sold my bass. but regardless.. this is awesome!

  • GREAT JOB DUDE !!!!!!!!!!!!!:)

  • R.I.P Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan

  • straight up

  • VERY nice job!! how r u recording the guitars?

  • nice one! i like how you changed the outro of the song on the drums to make it different from the Rev's!

Great cover, especially playing all 3 instruments really tight and well. You should've done the vocals too lol.

  • excellent recording, drums are tight, really nice.

You have a nice kick, try not to trigger it! You can get awesome sounds from it. Maybe you could add some bass traps in the room, or move the drums position a little. and you can change a LOT of the drum's sound with just compressor and eq.

    See ya!

  • turn off the effing auto focus on your camera! it's making me sick!

  • best cover of this song i have seen... the guitar could use a tiny bit more practice though... not complaining though

  • awesome job man everythign is great! very impressive how u learned all those instruments man awesome work. im a drummer myself and am doing some recording on my own and I was wondering how u get ur kit to sound that good. is it mics, heads, playing space, etc?

  • on that recording, I used lot of EQ to make that miced kick sounds like this. I suggest that you use sample layering to get a kick like that. Now I use drumagog.

  • thats what u get when ur mom doesn't let u go out and play basketball witht the guys..but this is sweet. i wanna know how u can get the picture of the drummers feet in there too. and yea i know u record the feet too but how do u get it on the screen. if that makes sense

  • @ilikeamp. If I'm not wrong, you're telling me I have no life, and then you're asking me some advice... well I don't know what to think about this one... haha !

  • sorry bro i don't mean anything by it...thats what my teacher at qcmec told me....thats his life..idk bout yours lol i didn't mean to be an ass

  • @ilikeamp oh, well sorry about that, it just sounded bad to my ears. anyway, to answer your question, I used Pinnacle studio to edit my video. There is a fonction called insert picture I think. It' s about the same process as playing with green screens. just read the tutorial!

  • k kool thanks. and the snar sounds really good btw

  • this is great man

  • yea dude 5 * thats amazing how u can play all those instruments my band played this 2 days ago at our first gig but u put all of them together thats talent

  • Nive job on the playing as well as video editing

which video program did youn use?

    Tim

  • I used pinnacle studio but I found that Magix Edit Pro is way better for the same price. By the way, I guess you're not the famous Tim waterson right? It would be cool though!

  • amazing 5 stars :) and im thinking of getting that line 6 amp, is it any good? and how much was it?

  • Yeah it's a good combo amp, depending on what you want it to do. It's not really expensive and you get many different tones.

  • cool thanks , i think i probs will get it :)

  • dude that was rad, very talented video

  • mice fukin job bro

  • thatss fucken awesome

  • Excellent.

  • great job! how did you replace the bass drum sound? its post production right?

  • this sound is just EQ and some processing but I could have replaced it using drumagog and a VST instrument like ezdrummer

  • AWESOME! what else can you do!? :)

  • Verry impressive man...seriousely, great work.

  • nice dude how you like them pedals?

  • There is better pedals now at the same price.

  • Man youre a good drummer...no doubt...

but for the guitars and bass...need more practice....good attempt man!

  • haha! I've probably listened to that song more than you have..and there isn't, it's not a bad cover at all, but the octave chords for the first verse are wrong, and I know there is no high hat, I've watched shit before where the rev talked about it, I'm not being an asshole, I'm just saying, so relax, this is why I don't express my opinion because people don't get, it's an opinion, and I didn't talk shit, so why act like a fuck.

watch the tutorial they did for the guitar.

  • its not bad, but you're playing guitar parts and harmonies wrong, and the drums aren't bad, but there is no open high hat in this song at all.

  • Haha!, Yeah right... listen to the song again.

  • u play guitar like a frigging robot ...loosen up

  • hey man your drums sounds grate.

wich model of drumheads by evans on toms you use?

  • G1 coated (1 ply). These are not the beat for metal....

  • that was really good especially the drums

  • Pleaseeeee, a song to Sum 41, studio record!!!!!!!

  • incredibly awesome best drum cover ever

  • That's amazing man.

I love the sound of your drums

  • esto en serio es de ustedes?????

excelenteeeeee!!!! excelente toma por las caracteristicas que describen del hardware.

    ;)

  • excelent heeeeeeeeeeeeyyyy

  • what settings did you use on your spider III?

Does the same setting work for sounding like synyster gates guitar?

I am new to guitar, and that is my main influence for starting....thanks in advance!

  • i have the same overheads... they are a steal man! i just used them properly today they are quite lovely

  • the only thing i have to say is at the begining your supost to tap on the guitar

  • I'm sorry but it's false, I looked at many live videos and they it this way. Maybe it sounds similar but I'm sure I'm doing right.

  • Now you just gotta get on vocals! Damn good man! Awesome!

  • No hope for the vocals lol...

    Thanks for your comment!

  • what kinda snare do u have

    btw

    very noice drum cover!

    spot on

    best on u-tube

  • I used the snare that came with my drum. It's a PDP 6 ply mapple snare with Remo reversed dot head. The snare is tuned high and there is no muffling.

  • what double bass pedals are those? they sound really good..

  • dw 8000

  • actually, it's not the pedal that makes the sound. The only thing is that the beater is on the plastic side so it gives more punch to the kick. I could have that sound with any pedal.

  • How'd you get a surround sound on the guitar?

  • I'm not sure what you mean by "surround sound", but I only put one guitar panned left and one panned right for the main riffs. When they play the same thing, it's like if the guitar tracks were doubled. I think this is how the original song was mixed.
