this play is very easy to understand for Koreans because we already had black comedy films and plays with almost same plot with this play. of course that Korean black comedy setting is 'restaurant selling foods made with....'.. wonderful satire for this world too.

Well, Mrs. Lovett wasn't supposed to be all that thin in the first place. Ever read/heard the script for "By The Sea"? Mrs. Lovett even says, "I've always had this dream ever since I was a little slip of a thing," before she actually sings. Which implied that she not only used to be young, but skinny, too.

WOW. This is very reminiscent of Angela Lansbury's version in the way that she puts so much energy and movement into the scene. They do a great job playing up the dark comedy of the scene. Love the flour!
