They do make less than men OVERALL, but that is because they tend to work part time jobs, or jobs with flexible hours, or jobs that aren't inherently dangerous (construction, mining).

Up till now I used to ask that same question - why do men get paid more for the same job. This guy opened my eyes. No one actually tried to explain it before, without getting sexist and annoying me in the process. This guy had some truths to say that I've never noticed before. Women ARE assholes, mostly because they're stressed out and taking it out on others, but it's true they get away with it a lot.

Do men make more than women overall? Yeah. But the reason for that is CHOICE OF OCCUPATION. You won't find a woman working on a pipeline or in a coal mine. You won't find women in the super-paying, high risk jobs. If they enter those fields then they'd receive the same pay.

Car insurance alone is enough justification for the pay gap. Let's say the average male under the age of 25 pays $20.00 more monthly than a female with the same car.
Women earn about $00.30 less per week than those males. $00.30(4) is $1.20. Oh look at that, looks like the guys still end up with less money than the women by the end of the month. Now just factor in Health Insurance, Life insurance, and paying for dates/family activities.

I've never worked a job where men and women did the "same" work. I as a man am always expected to do everything the women do plus any additional heavy lifting required in the office. National Labor Board statistics show that men make more because ON AVERAGE, men work more hours per week in salaried positions, take less time off and work more hazardous jobs. @DrNordo That is flatly NOT TRUE at all. I've worked in the legal field and our firm has handled hundreds of lawsuits of women that found out they were making less than men for the same job. I don't know where you are getting your "facts" from but they are solidly without merit and obviously something you came up with off the top of your head.

@DeborrahC Think about it this way: if women were really making less than men do for the same job and the same level of responsibility, then why aren't employers exclusively hiring women? That would be the perfect way to maximize profits. Oh yeah, I know why; it's because the whole idea that women make less overall is absolute rubbish.

@DrNordo You're right the leftist feminist agenda is always saying, "women make only 80% of what men make for the same type of work". They leave out that people are paid based on type of work and also how long you work. The Dept. of Labor states that men work an average of 42 hrs./week and women 36 hours per week. The liberals don't tell the whole story in order to make women appear to be victims of sexism.
