gaussian blur effect and key framing it from a point turned up at the beginning of the clip to another key frame with it set to 0 about 12 frames later
every year after the olympics is think is going to be like this. only apparitus finnals and Allaround. they do this because the give the countaries 3 years to build their olympic team
I think it''s an every-other-year thing. Next year should be a team final, and so on. But you're right, the year after the Olympics is an individual year.
im so glad kayla williams is on the world team. shes from where i liveee. she's one of the VERY few girls from west virginia to make it to the big leaguee, like mary lou :)
This. Is. BY FAR. Your best montage EVER. Not a single flaw in sight, its so professional, you have got it goin on but I don't need to tell you that. ;) Really nice work, I can't wait for this competition!
Oh ok! Sorry to bug you but could you maybe explain to me the differences that have been made for women's gymnastics. Like scoring and what u said about their FX tumbling and if there is anything else! Because i'm always looking to see what differences are going on in gymnastics so i know what happening when i watch meets on TV. Thanks! :)
One main difference, is that the number of skills counted has went down from 10 to 8. So this quad's scores will be about .6 lower. Falls have been increased to a full point. In general, deductions have become more severe, which also leads to lower scores.
They have also added a corridor, on vault, which kind of resembles an airline runway. The idea is that gymnasts land right on the line going down the center of the corridor. There is a deduction for not landing on the line, .1, a .3 deduction for landing with one foot out of the corridor and a .5 deduction for landing with both feet out. The initial contact is decisive, so you wouldn't incur an extra .1 deduction for stepping out of the corridor.
On bars, there is now a new deduction on "overuse" or using more than three elements from the same root. Like, using four giant elements, you will incur a .1 deduction. Also, transitioning from the low bar to the high bar by standing on the low bar's deduction has been increased to .3.
On beam, you can only count a maximum of 5 acrobatic elements and a minimum of 3 dance elements. There a two new connections added to beam. One is a turns connection, you would get a .1 if you connected a C-level turn with an A-level turn, or vice versa. So like a leg-up full turn directly into a regular full turn, like what Nastia did at the Covergirl Classic. Another connection is a D-level salto that lands on one foot and directly passes into a scale, like Nastia's pike front to scale.
The most controversial change is on floor, where a lunge has been changed into a step. A deduction from .1-.3 depending on the size of the lunge. In Ivana Hong's floor at 2009 Nationals Day 1, you can hear the commentators point out the lunge and the deduction. You have to count at least 3 dance skills and at most 5 acrobatic skills and can only perform 4 tumbling passes. A new connection on floor is a D-level salto to an A-level jump, .1 in bonus, like Kim Bui's double front twist to split jump
I'm pretty sure it's because this year is an individual worlds, meaning that there is no team competition. Next year the numbers should go back up to six gymnasts on the team, with 2 or 3 alternates.
What program do ya use Chris? :)

Plus less than a year ago she was level 10, and at 16 years old, it's very rare that Martha will take girls to elite!! SO exicted to see her compete!

Wow! I'm pleased with the team! But dissapointed Nast, Sam & Chellsie dropped out of the selection, but as always i respect their choices! ;)
I read the article, but do you know why there are only 4 girls in the team and not 6?
