I had to choose whether to get the Nomia N900 or Motorola milestone.. the nokia N900 is amazing and all.. but it was out of my budget to get. i waited months for the N900's successor and it won't be released till 2011 so i bought the milestone for it being cheaper and having a little better things. When the Nokia E7 or N9 comes out in 2011 im getting them for sure. I just needed to get a phone to replace my ancient nokia 5200. Plus Maemo has no support its done. Thats a problem too.

Right now I have an N97 and I love it but it has started to slow down and get a little laggy with some of its actions... Now im a guy that likes to get everything he can out of his device so I load up everything I can fit onto it... Movies, music, pictures, apps, games, you name it.. But like I said it has started to slow down.. So I guess what I want to know is if this phone will do the same... and if it does what could I get that wouldnt have this problem?

I have skype, gmail and google talk accounts enabled and also screen locked with password. Often times UI becomes so unresponsive, that I'm not able to use it at all and have to restart (sometimes by taking out battery). Today someone called and screen didn't light up for quite some time, then it lit up but didn't respond to my input until caller gave up finally.

And this happens all the time.

My mobile phone bill shrank significantly with n900 - I'm just not feeling like using this device.

Hey guys, I have a SERIOUS QUESTION.

I have an N95, and I'm planning to buy an N97 OR an N900. Which one do I get? Symbian is no problem to me, and for web browsing I use SkyFire (full Flash Support). I am pleased with the N95, but I need to upgrade it. I rarely play games, so I won't need the 3D Acceleration feature. Also, I use MMS and most of the time, portrait mode.

Please, which one do I get?

I got a Nokia N900 over a Nexus One thinking it would be a great phone but its a let down. Media player is bad and puts the same/random album cover for most songs, very little apps with crappy app store. The great things about the n900 are the multitasking, internet (with flash) and camera but thats it and the screen its bright and clear and REALLY sensitive. its definately an iphone killer but not and Android killer. anyone wanna trade for a Nexus One?

i got this phone a few days ago for my birthday and i am very pleased with it's features and the touch screen's responsiveness(is it spelled correct?). Even though i am only 14(i know it's pretty weird for a 14 year old guy to have the n900)i had many phones and this one is the best. i tried phones from other competitors but this one i liked the best. Why?Because i like the multitasking thing, the big HDD, the responsivness of the screen, the fast-loading web pages and the flash support.

I tested this phone and it has very bad touch screen,look at video he is only touching the screen with his nail.If you try to touch it with finger tip you'll have to tap it couple of time to do something...You except to have top of the class touch screen for this money but you don't get it!!!This is primary touch screen phone who fail to bring good touch screen experience!

This is a resistive touchscreen vs capacitive (iPhone). It's personal taste. With resistive, the idea is to use your fingernail or a stylus. Many prefer this over an overly sensitive capacitive touchscreen.

I've been wanting this phone for a long time now ( well 2 months ) and I'm still thinking of getting it.

It seems a real gem of a phone but while doing my research I find out that around 1 in every 4 N900's has a technical problem / bug that makes the phone reboot itself at random times and this happens on a constant basis.

Type "why does my nokia n900 keep rebooting" into google and go onto links that show users of the N900 who have this problem.

:( I really wanted this phone aswell.

Have been using it for a week now and got a say Nokia got one lost customer back. This is what SMARTphone needs to be. After horrible experience with 5800 i'm more than eager to see Maemo 6 next year and why not SEs X10, but N900 will be a keeper for long time for me.

No sir I haven't grown up knowing only the blackberry. I had an iphone and was ultimately disappointed with it, I then switched to the blackberry bold 9700. I like the options that the BB provides, the email functions are phenomenal as is the security features. The nokia is nothing more than an iphone wannabe.
