  • they didnt fail to keep pace with our technology.... we made the same advances...

  • Russia needs no help from the american

  • It's a video game. Stop saying "Russia this" "China that". Just fucking enjoy it.

  • Also why couldnt they have made this game based on Russian vs Chinese forces, oh right of course, America has to come in to save the day to make it a sellable videogame. Oh wait, it still didnt' sell.

  • I would buy the story up until 'Russia request assistance'

    Seriously?

  • @GerardEarthfield The story lost all its realism when it goes to the point where China and Russia go to war against one another. That's pretty absurd, because China and Russia are both founding members of SCO, that's like US and UK going to war against each other.

And IF China and Russia go to war, Russia would most likely require assistance. China's military is about 30 times larger than the Russian army, and China also has the second largest military budget in the world. Russia has no chance.

  • @devilhunterred Like I said in the Original Post, don't throw numbers at everything.

And make up your mind, is it 20 times, or 30 times larger, I think both are incorrect really, because any country can say they have X amount of military deployed, but that doesnt mean that they have the means to deploy them, or that they're even well trained

  • @Kastrenzo74 The fact is that the Russian army is made up of entirely conscripts. On the other hand the Chinese military are all volunteer troops. This alone already tells you which army has better morale. Another fact: Chinese military budget is more than 2 times the Russian budget. Third fact: Majority of Russian equipments are from the Cold War era and are completely outdated. In terms of training, the Chinese military is actually on par with US standard, look it up.

  • @devilhunterred You don't know what you're talking about, if you get your information from Wikipedia, word of advice, it's wikipedia, it's unreliable. And you're obviously a Sinophile, or a Russophobe, so theres no point arguing with you.

    ARGUMENTS ON THE INTERNETS GUISE.

  • @Kastrenzo74 I don't know what I'm talking about? How about you show some figures and statistics to prove that you actually know what you are talking about? Fact is: Chinese military outnumbers Russian military by 20+ times, Chinese military budget is twice as much as the Russian budget. Chinese modernizes its equipments much better than Russians do, who still uses Cold War era relics. If you can't find the numbers to prove to me otherwise, don't bother trying to debate.

  • @GerardEarthfield You don't buy the story because you know nothing about Chinese and Russian military. Chinese army far outnumbers the Russian army. Chinese uses voluntary troops while Russians use almost all conscripts (conscription is mandatory in Russia, not in China). Chinese military budget is more than twice the Russian budget. Majority of Russian military is actually very outdated still using Cold War era weapons. There's good reason why today China is superpower while Russia is not.

  • lol PLA takes (took) Skira on my 21st birthday XD

  • this is the best part of the whole game.

  • Pretty unrealistic that the grand alliance of Russia, China, North Korea and Iran would falter like this, but it was a good game. A shame that the sheer amount of glitches on day one made it seem like they never even bothered to test the game. Really ruined to experience for me and a few mates who I did the play through with.

  • It's a nice intro, yes. But looks a 'bit' too similar to the intro in the movie "The Kingdom". Check it out.

  • For some reason i feel like this is pretty much a copy of Spartley and Praracel island

i was hoping for vietnam vs china

  • @tinmaptd check out the battle of cao bang

  • thumbs up if watching in 2011

  • I think a lot of games could benefit with using this format for exposition. of course not ALL games, but this is one of the most effective expository sequences I have ever seen in any media. it's interesting, captivating, straight to the point, and fully understandable.

  • One of the best Infographics i've seen in a videogame ever! I must say though that this game is as easy as ice skating up hill

  • People who say the gameplay is crap , are just call of duty players that waited for their chopper gunner and didn't get it so their first thought is "CRAP"

  • i love when it says Russia responds, its like everything they have, basically saying: "Hey China, back the F**K off".

  • what do you call this tipe of cineatic

  • @MrSeanlob

    Kinetic typography

  • Operation Flashpoint 3 world war 3 xD

  • the WWIII broke out 11 days ago,

strangely, I dont see it on news

  • omg its may 15th and the US hasnt deployed its troops to help russia yet!!

  • May 12th already, when will US launch?

  • @Airshow2010 What> dude this is like 2 years old. but theres a new one called red river. go check it out! :)

  • I think Homefront kind of copied this intro style.

  • Comment removed

  • @JAEProductions1 Sorry about that, I just read the message more clearly this time.

  • @JAEProductions1

Homefront didn't copy this intro. The game most likely used the reference from intro of the movie call The Kingdom.

  • Its 2011...

    Wheres the war?

  • @Wicachow who cares, it's just so they don't have to invent any new technology into the game

  • @TwatsPartyHouse96 That was sarcasm, sorry if I confused you.

  • @Wicachow the sarcasm still implied they were wrong about something, which they are not

  • @Wicachow oh right! lol sorry

  • @Wicachow Codemasters did not predict the future, they made a fictional video games, it isn't real and there isn't going to be a war.

  • @Howler76

It's an acceptable use of them. "As Russia seize control" means the Russian people take control it does make sense and is an acceptable variation of words and suffixes/prefixes used

  • Without a doubt, one of the best, if not THE BEST cinematic's EVER made!

  • This game seems VERY powerful, but I hate FPS games on consoles (Got it on my ps3) so I never played it. But this trailer is just amazing.

  • china already took over all the oil by buying it.

  • @Howler76 Ya know they say things in forms to turn what could be 3 sentences of explaining something into one.

  • I still like this game :P I found it fun!

  • Even with the Chinese "Zerg sized" military, Russia would wipe the floor with China in every category, Their soldiers are of the toughest in the world, Russia has the best Armor in the world alongside America, and about 4500 more nuclear weapons than China, enough to sink the country into the ocean.

I get sick and tired of people who know nothing, claiming "DURR CHINA HAS A HUGE ARMY,IF THEY EVER ATTACKEKD ANYONE ITS THE END OF THE WORLD"

  • @Kastrenzo74 iam not pro russia or china but i really doubt they would "wipe the floor with china".Now in theory quality should defeat quantity but are the chinese really that bad? do you have proof of this? you could make the argument that the russians have battle tested equipment while the chinese new toys look pretty but have never been in combat,i dont know what would happen and i hope it never does but i dont think it will easy on either side. btw didnt the zerg have strong units mutalisk?

  • @Kastrenzo74 We all know Russia would wipe the floor with them, but in this game they're allied with us...ahah that's fucking overkill ya?

  • @InvisioningSince93 I never bought Dragon Rising because I play ArmA, But they should have made Russia an independent faction in this game, or at least in an expansion pack. Like they did in the Arma games, having the Local country as being an independent side

  • @Kastrenzo74 That'd be cool. I'm not sure if you mean like US vs China vs Russia. That would be cool and helluva lot harder for the US haha

  • @Kastrenzo74 I strongly disagree Russia would "wipe the floor". First of all, China's military is more than 20 times larger than the Russian military. China also spends the second highest military budget in the world, more than twice as much as the Russian budget. Russian army uses conscripts, the Chinese use voluntary troops. Not to mention the majority of Russian equipments are from the Cold War era and completely outdated. There is a reason why today's Russia is only a regional power.

  • @devilhunterred China's ratio of it's military equipped with obsolete gear is MUCH More than that of Russia or even some of the other ex soviet states again.

Also troop numbers really don't mean a thing when one country has 11000-13000 Nuclear Weapons, and one has less than 300. That is my point.

China Conscripts too. I'm not trying to prove you wrong or anything., I just beileve you have some misconceptions about the two,

  • @Kastrenzo74 Chinese army has no conscripts, they don't need it. China has 1.3 billion population, there are so many people volunteering to join the military as a career path that they have to turn people down, therefore Chinese military can have stricter recruitment screening process. Nuclear weapons are outdated, hydrogen bomb is more than 1000 times the yield of a nuclear bomb. You don't need a lot of hydrogen bombs, you only need one to destroy a city. How many cities does Russia have?

  • Too bad Russia and China are both in the Warsaw Pact and not Nato...

  • @jacksonx426x warsaw was disbanded, and china was never in it

  • @jacksonx426x China and the Soviet union broke relations in the 60s, they were both communist countries but they were not friends.

  • @jacksonx426x China never in the Warsaw pact, during the cold war, China had been playing fiercely independent, especially after 1960s Soviet-Chinese split

China was yet powerful enough to be a major world power across late 20th century, but China was big enough to disobey both Moscow and Washington. Actually, both USSR and USA tried to use China to balance each other

  • although the gameplay couldve been better the storyline was pretty good, not the usually cold war shit with "russia is evil" although its fiction its not as BS as mw2 ,vdv invading the eastern seaboard that makes sense......

  • Why isnt history class as exciting as this?

  • @malizlewa because budget cuts suck XD

  • my god, a game were we are not fighting the russiuns!

  • anyone notice the way in which the intro done is smiler of that of cod WaW loading screens

  • Holy shit when I watched this I was so full of adrenaline I pissed a bit. Then I played the game. It wasn't bad, it was just slow in some parts. I like the game, but this cinematic makes it seem so much better.

  • @OMFG33024 it was also with me, to solve this problem you have to lower the graphichs.

  • @masterberkay66 Not what I mean, I mean, there seemed to be no progression. The FPS was fine, cause I had it for consoles, but it's just overall boring.

  • If in schools they would have videos like this for history, I would learn all the fucking history in no time.

  • @arleitiss me too!!!

  • @arleitiss true lol!

  • i liked this game

i guess it was because i hadnt heard of it when i bought it

  • the man in 2:41 on the right of screen is japanese , not chinese .

  • fucking epic

and this is why oil is a enemy to mankind

  • Ha, 2:41 looks like Tojo, typical propaganda game

  • im shakin with adrenaline after watching thiss...

  • this game will get banned on china.....

  • @Chicken1397 funny thing is the chinise lov eit and it wa sone of the few games to make it past the censores with out beign heavly buthered

  • @Artsie1 I did ;P

  • The game itself was, in my opinion, better than I expected... but the lack of dedicated server support and the less-accessible editor really killed it for me.

  • russia would own cock along with america if america wasnt in the gay ass iraq war still or at all shit would go down millions of chinese against thousands of american and millions of russians that are better trained people would die

  • I know that Modern Warfare 2 is not the perfect FPS, but I prefer that, rather than Operation Flashpoint. I mean, shooting at targets that far away is hard, and it gets kinda boring after a while. Maybe it's just too realistic?

  • I have to say i didn't think it was so hard, sure i died a few times, but i didn't really used tactics and shit, i just attacked and covered, played it on experienced. Anyone the same feeling. ?

  • China supports the hardliners so they attack russia?the Chinese arent stupid you know

  • This intro is incredibly cool, damn cool

  • if the U.S, Russia and E.U, do a a new "triple entente" everybody would have to fall in line.

  • @Ltdeacon and if u add china and japan( tecnology )

  • This game failed miserably...

It has a lot of potential through better campaign storyline though.

  • if Russia and America were really in an alliance they could take over the world lol

  • Excellent game I certainly like 0:34 to 3:54 I managed to get this game free here 115 games . c o m There are literally thousands of PS3 games available there and the best thing is they are all totally free superb game and site

  • @bonaparteian

haha, doesnt even go past 3:54 u spud

  • @bonaparteian fucking gay ass stupid bitch bot. go kill yourself little poor faggot.

  • Good story :)

  • ;D Against USA and Russia in alliance...China doesn't stand a chance.

  • best intro EVER!

  • Beautiful. Love the unique original take on this intro. Very compelling. Too bad I read so many negative comments about this sequel, 'cause I played the original for years and it ruled my pants off.

  • freakin best intro ever made!

  • BEST INTRO EVER.

but i'm REALLY disappointed with the actual gameplay, its crap.

  • @acecombatfan438 I have to agree. Although the came sucks, the Intro kicks ass!

  • the gameplay is fine, unless you expect it to be Call of Duty

red river is totally trying too hard to be call of duty

  • @tinmaptd true, sold it anyway

  • wow this is like a history to future lesson! lol

i hope this game is good! i think they should make a movie on that story!

  • this is the only history lesson i am interested to.. never get bored watching it

  • this made me jizz in my pants

  • One of the most disappointing moments in my life was the gameplay that immediately follows this amazing cinematic

  • @necron1001 you mean extreme realism to epic proportions?

  • @necron1001 right on man....i was so looking forward to playing this game and it sucked bad...slow gameplay with crappy action.

  • @necron1001 True dat, when I saw the cinematic I was hyped as hell and when the game started... wtf, another Crysis bullshit... Where is the old Flashpoint style managing an entire task force...?

  • @necron1001 ya but for what im seeing in the new operation flashpoint they are fixing hings and making it better

  • @necron1001 Bull! More realistic then run and gun bullet proof Black ops. I like black ops but face it, it's pretty unrealistic. No man could single handedly pick up a mini gun and withstand the kick.

  • @TheWolfPackClan1 In Soviet Russia gun shoots YOU! Well, um...(clears throat) backwards, comrade.

  • man if Russia and America were really in a full blown military alliance they could fuck up the world if they wanted

  • @Theplaymaker127 They were allied in WW2 and it took years to defeat Germany and Japan. ( And they had the support of about 70% of the world )

  • @Theplaymaker127 oh yeah bud russia with the most nuclear weapons and the US with the best military weapons and vehicles with amazing tactics

  • @Theplaymaker127 You realise however, that Russia arn't this AMAZING military prowess that their made out to be? They've had to cut funding to their military budget, the production for their T-95s are going slowly, and Kalashnikova went bankrupt.

  • @Theplaymaker127 Techincally at this moment in time we do have a military alliance just not this big

  • @Theplaymaker127 no doubt

  • @Theplaymaker127 you mean more than they have already, individually

  • @Theplaymaker127 lol Russia aint shit

  • @Theplaymaker127 Yeah... if we were in the 90's maybe...

  • @Theplaymaker127 america and russia have much respect on china ... china is secret trust me ;)

  • @YPUK0PALMY yeah they make it seem like the game is so badass, then when you waste your money and buy it, were all shocked -_-

  • theres like 14 missions if i can remember correctly, the al cant fight for shit, the graphics arent up to standard, you can drive naf all vehicles -i only drive a jeep which handled unrealisticly, yes its a huge map but you use a very small portion of it.

  • I completed the game in three days, even though i tried to space out playing and take my time, dont waste your money when theres so little to the game!!

  • Fuck i saw people saying its a shit game and i thought nah the trailers and stuff look really good, turns out i bought a shit game... FUCK now im $110 dollars less rich.

  • A shame this game have good Trailers and Intros, but a broken game.

  • @WINxTEC I agree. The intro was amazing. The gameplay however is just too hard. Hard to the extent that it's just not enjoyable or easily playable. Shame.

  • sorry people, but this games sucks! sorry...

  • Finally a STORYLINE, unlike some games that's right DICE I'm looking at your Battlefield 2.

  • Finnaly a game where the USA and Russia are working together :)

  • i love this game and the tematic simply one of the best i ever saw , like in all the ghost recon :D <3<3

  • Man, I friggin' love the way the way the music changes when the modern Russian army shows up.

  • I agree. That ominous russian chanting is pretty awesome.

  • @Vercuric OOOOOOOOOH HIIIIIIIIIIIII OEEEEEEEEEEEH HIIIIIIIIIIIIII PIEUWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

  • this is one of the best intros ever! just awsome

  • You wrote "solja" on purpose?

    Dear god.

  • Comment removed

  • Just bought it yesterday. Too busy enjoying it to be around long. See ya!

  • this game is so fucking borring. looks like bf2 only bigger map. i have play it.........damn this is one of the worst game i've ever played.

    ARMA2 is da best

  • Nice game! But the story doesn't work on me very well! I'm Chinese and study in US.I dont want to see these two countries will fight each other in the future. China getting stronger doesnt mean it will use force to other country. Every Chinese want their home getting better in the future. We want peace in the world ! But one China is the baseline. Anyway! Nice FPS game, I'm gona buy it today!lol

  • they let you play this in china?

  • yeah, right, play as China

"When I say attack, Charge! If they attack us, Charge! If there's a minefield, Charge!"

  • @smog282 You do realize the Chinese invented the Art of War, right?

  • lol~I'm in the U.S now! I don't think this game will be sold in China! The same lIke BF2.I can't buy BF2 in China.

  • @Daisycutt3r Even if the Chinese government bans it, it doesn't make any difference at all. You can still find a pirated copy anywhere in a mall for about $2-8 USD.

  • @devilhunterred what? why are u doing going through old comments? I havent written anything about china.

  • You're right about China, but it's just a game.

  • well your army is growing fast...and im starting to get scared. all it takes it one country to stand up to start world war 3 hhaaha

  • @shaobaoww Don't worry about the story, Amerian and Russian will never be toghter also these American are controled by us because they like the cheap stuff from us. Russia and China are also close ally so there is nothing to worry, just enjoy the game. :D

  • @laofuzi400 your a moron. the USA and Russia where allies for over 115 years at one point in history. Hell Russia gave money to the USA to fight England. you need to read history.

The Bear and the Dragon have NEVER been Allies! never in there history have they ever agreed on damn thing. ya sure China does some war games with Russia in the last few years does not mean there friends. Hell back in the cold war the USSR and China damn near almost had a full out war with each other!

  • @Dogmeat1950 true true, a few border skirmishes took place in total like 100+ deaths on both sides i believe, if they actually went to war the US could have waited until the fighting was over and take Russia's oil fields, or they could have allied (haha yea right) and F**Ked S#@T UP

  • @Dogmeat1950 Both China and Russia founded the SCO, the Asian equivalent of NATO, look it up.

  • @devilhunterred lol. and they where allies in the cold war and still managed to fight each other lol

  • @Dogmeat1950 Russia and China never went to war against each other.

  • @devilhunterred hahaha god damn your funny. you really don't know history do you?

Sino–Soviet border conflict, go read about it. the bear and the Dragon in it's entire have always played the game. if they fought each other in a simple border conflict then your nutz to think Russia and China could be allies.

Russia's not dumb they'll play there cards and select the best option when the time comes.

  • @Dogmeat1950 You are hysterical. The so called border conflict was a mini skirmish with less than 200 total casualties that the media barely even reported about. It wasn't even a battle, please exaggerate more. Not to mention it happened during the Sino-Soviet split in the Cold War. It happened more than 50 years ago when China was still communist and Russia was still USSR. Russia co-founded the SCO with China and have joint military exercise with Beijing for very good reason, they are allies.

  • @devilhunterred you retard China and the USSR where both commies at the time. by the mid 1960's they hated each other.

  • @Dogmeat1950 Alright lets be nice no need to troll.

  • @Dogmeat1950 No, you are retarded. China and USSR didn't hate each other. Mao and Khrushchev hated each other. And they both died more than 40 years ago.

  • @devilhunterred no not at all that's why Russia is pissed of at China for copying the Su-34 to the T and Russia didnt' get a dime of money for it.

  • @Dogmeat1950 Please show me how did China copy the SU-34? China is actually trying to modernize its airforce and stop using Soviet MiGs, that's why they developed the latest J models, which by the way is a joint collaboration with the Israeli airforce. And I highly doubt a country would "hate" another just because its jet model is being imitated. I will say it again, China and Russia are members of SCO, it's the Asian equivalent of NATO. China and Russia are currently military allies.

  • @devilhunterred I made a mistake on the jet but...

"China Creates Pirate Copy of Russia's Su-33 Fighter Jet " ya stick that in your pipe in smoke it lol. go google that. Russia be angry..such wonderful allies. don't see the USA and U.K doing that to each other.

  • @Dogmeat1950 USA lied to UK to go to war with Iraq by feeding misleading information about the existence of WMD in Iraq, which the CIA knew as a fact that there was none. War in Iraq virtually ended Tony Blair's political career and ruined his popular support in Britain, about 180 British soldiers died in Iraq and the war caused UK millions of dollars, all to find WMD in Iraq, which never existed. I don't see Russia or China lying to each other to invade a foreign country.

  • @devilhunterred WOW... your a fucking dummy.. it's so sad. that your so dumb you do know that most of the Intel for invading Iraq was provided by the U.K right?

just amazing..you couldn't even do abit of fact checking before saying such BS..now look at you.. look like a retard now. I mean "war caused UK millions of dollars," really.. what war is that fucking cheap lol.

  • @Dogmeat1950 Your utter ignorance and stupidity continue to dumbfound me. I have no idea where you get information from. The intel of the existence of WMD in Iraq was provided by the CIA, G.W Bush bought the report without sending additional resources to confirm it and relay the findings to Blair.

    Google CIA Iraq WMD report.

  • @devilhunterred Your utter ignorance and stupidity continue to dumbfound me. :) have you bothered even to go fact checking? O wait no you didn't.

the Intel provided to the USA came from Mi6 and the CIA. please do your self a favor and go read before commenting back.
