But i Donot have a contract I am on what is called 'Pay as you Go'. There is no contract and i get free internet for a year (which runs out in September). After september i need to set up a contract which is £10 a month for unlimited internet

The iPhone 3G will run you around 107 that includes tax and assuming you're going to start a new account.

The plan includes:

A forced Data plan which runs $30.

The lowest talk plan is $39.99 that is 450 anytime, like 5000 night/weekends.

Any Text plan will cost you from like $10-$20 a month. Those aren't forced upon you though. So with those specs and the data plan, you'll pay $107 upfront, and $89 a month.(First month has an additional $36 activation fee).
