For much of history, marriage was a financial arrangement between families, particularly wealthy ones. Among the wealthy, historically it was quite common to arrange a marriage for much the same reasons that a corporate merger might be approved today, with both man and woman having lovers/mistresses on the side, and both being fully aware of them.

Websters defines marriage as between a man and a woman. So gay marriage doesn't exist.
I think ending the drug War is a much more important issue. I hope for individual liberty for all people, including gays. But who gets to define words anyways.
