@ welltrvid1 actually the gunfight didn't happen in the OK Corral but in a vacant lot (between Fly's Photographic Studio and Boarding House and the Harwood ouse) off of Fremont Street backing onto the OK Corral so in reality on October 26th 1881 no one was shot in the OK corral. Also only two men who were actually on the lot ran when the shooting started, Billy Claiborne and Ike Clanton. Others witnessed the fight and got themselves safe by running in including Johnny Behan.
uhh... not so branie a statement. This would be news to Billy Clanton, as well as Tom & Frank McClaury who were all killed there. Not to mention Morgan & Virgil Earp who were seriously wounded in the fight. Even Doc Holiday was shot - in the holster. Only Wyatt Earp walked away unscathed. (Unless you count Ike Clanton, Billy Claiborne and one other who fled the scene when the shooting commenced.)
That was then, now is now. I wish I could go back to then. Life was so nice and simple. I loved this move, I still love this movie and will always love this movie.
@errolwilliamson Same here. I was just 9 when I went to my first drive in and saw this. I pretended I was Wyatt Earp for years in my childhood cowboy days. I actually met Burt Lancaster in his last movie on the set at Disney Studios, Orlando.
my favorite movie ...

Gorgeous performance by the late and much lamented Mr. Frankie Laine. Perfect joining of talents for this great score by Dimitri Tiomkin.
